my own fault

I did not realize it is not frost free or auto defrost, I would have never imagined it would not be, the frost is impossible to remove without it going everywhere, putting it out at the curb for free, I was so excited to order this as I'd been wanting one for some time. Lesson learned- Read the product descriptions thoroughly, once again, totally my own fault.

I love my new Freezer, I need a handle!

I love that my freezer is upright, which makes it easier to find what I’m looking for. The only thing that I don’t like about my freezer is there’s no door handle. Due to an injury to my dominant hand it’s difficult to pull it open. Other than that the freezer is doing a very good job! A. Curry

We made the best purchase for a freezer!

The food stays cold, and the freezer didn’t take long to where I was able to put food in it before I went to bed that evening. The freezer fits exactly the way it was described, you can choose the way you want the freezer to open either left or right.

Great Purchase! This Freezer saved the day.

Our Samsung Refrigerator’s freezer went out so needed a quick solution and found this freezer with a next day delivery… reviews were mixed due to damages but took a chance… Voila! Delivered in perfect condition, packaging was really good with wood and foam support. No scratches or dents, perfect condition and very easy setup in our garage. Really loving 6.5 cu feet, managed to get almost all my frozen items saved just in the nick of time.

Answer to my prayers

Arrived very quickly and in great shape. It's the perfect size for my kitchen to replace my chest freezer. Very nice looking and has a great number of shelves. Perfect for my needs! And Frigidaire is a terrific brand. Here is a photo of this freezer next to a full-size refrigerator.

After FedEx delivered it to the wrong house, I located it. When I opened it up, I was expecting a damaged unit as I read in the reviews. I was impressed there was no Dents or dings. a rub mark was all that was wrong. It works great. We are very pleased with it.

Great for its size

I managed to snag this on sale during the holidays. And I am thankful to have found an upright freezer that is small. Typically to find one at a price like this you have to do a chest freezer, which is cumbersome. My only dislike is that you cannot reverse the door. Where ours sits, it would be much simpler if we could reverse it and you cannot. It opens left to right. But other than that, it’s a great purchase and it’s a really good size for our household.

Lemon

Do not buy. Temperature adjustment is in the back. The appliance goes up next to a wall like any frig or freezer. Therefore, you will not be able to see the temperature adjuster. Normal adjustments are made inside appliances. If you leave it out from the wall so you can adjust the temp., then the compressor and electronics compartment, which is at the bottom, is exposed and open to pets, kids, etc. Dangerous. Came with a dent in the door as well, purchased online and delivered by FedEx.

Frost build up.

after reading all of the reviews i was convinced to buy this product but now that i have been using it there is a lot of frost build up on the top coils and it ends up building up so much that its hard to get the freezer to close all the way to get a good seal. I'm not sure if i will recomending it to anyone. This picture is after hitting off most of the build-up, but you can see where the build-up starts.

It does the job

It does what it needs to. I feel like it ices up more inside than it should? But could just be a freezer thing? And it’s not because I open it too often. We were out of town for two weeks and when I came back ice had built up at the top of freezer. We do have it in our garage. But this product said it was fine for a garage.

Hi Meghan, it sounds like your freezer door is out of alignment allowing warm humid ambient air to enter the freezer where it condenses and freezes into the ice you are seeing.
Here's a tutorial how to resolve the issue:
How to Reduce & Resolve Frost Buildup in Upright Freezers, Refrigerator and Freezer Compartments of Refrigerators.
Frost occurs when moisture in ambient air touches the cold evaporator coils, metal shelves and interior sides of a freezer or refrigerator.
Steps you can take to reduce frost build up:
Move your hand around the outside of the freezer/refrigerator door. If you feel cold air, then the door is not sealing adequately.
You can adjust the door by loosening the top hinge to reposition/adjust the freezer door to create a tight seal.
Adjust the front levelling feet of your unit such that the front of the unit is slightly higher than the rear. Gravity will assist the door to close with a proper seal.
TIP: Close the door on a dollar bill (or similar). The dollar bill should not easily pull out - there should be some resistance. Perform the “Dollar Bill Test” on the top, both sides, & bottom of your freezer door, and adjust accordingly.
Do not over fill your freezer to prevent food items from shifting and preventing the freezer door from closing properly.
Place only cool or cold food items in your refrigerator or freezer. Hot foods introduce humidity into the food storage compartment, which contributes to frost build up. Allow hot foods to cool before placing them in the refrigerator or freezer.
Wrap foods tightly with plastic wrap. Butcher paper is not an adequate wrapping material. Glass container lids typically do not provide a proper seal.
Dry the exterior of food before storing. By the time you reach home after purchasing frozen foods, the food items may have defrosted a bit and moisture may have already developed on packaging.
Reduce the amount of time the door remains open. Labelling and organizing your foods so you can easily identify them will help shorten the number and duration of freezer trips.
Set the freezer temperature so the freezers interior compartment stays around 0F (-18C), as higher and lower temperature settings contribute to frost build up.
Door Seal Care:
Keep the door seal clean. You can clean your door seal with a solution of one tsp of baking soda to a quart of lukewarm water. Pour the solution onto a clean sponge, and wipe it over the seal. Sponge off the solution with clear water and dry the seal with a clean cloth before closing the freezer door.
Keep the door seal flexible by lubricating it with some petroleum jelly (e.g. Vaseline). Wipe it on and wipe it off with a clean dry cloth.
