I've had this about a year. Buy yourself some Silicone SPRAY to keep the pole operating up and down freely. I agree with others about it falling in even slight wind and this is my suggestion; never leave the umbrella tilted in any breeze. I've noticed that when the umbrella fabric is taut the vents don't open properly to vent the wind. I've had the best luck leaving the fabic loose so the vent opens properly.

I have had two of these umbrellas for two years now and on ordering a third. I live in south Florida and they receive full sun, all day. They have not faded or frayed in two years! Also, I am the person that occasionally forgets to close them and they have went through many afternoon thunderstorms! I do have to say, I have the 60lb base also from Sams to make sure they are secure.

Bought two of these at the store. They looked great until the wind blew. They were put down and still blew over with the weighted stands I also bought at Sam’s. One is fine and the other one now is bent due to the metal poles being made of cheap and very thing aluminum. Will not buy another one.

Purchased last summer. Didn't use until early spring 2023. From the start, this umbrella has blown around in the breeze here in Oklahoma. We have to keep track of the wind speeds and always put the umbrella down if predicted winds are above 15-20. Otherwise a good product, but would love a more sturdy pole and mechanism.
