My 2004 F150 is on its 2nd set. The first set went over 100,000 and my 2nd set has 75,000 and still has good life left. The Michelins are the only replacement tires that balanced out smooth and road very quiet. The long wear is a great bonus! Purchased 2015.

I've driven about 30,000 miles on these tires, and while tread life and traction are excellent, the noise is absolutely unbearable. From day one, the road noise has been loud, droning, and constant — it doesn't matter if I'm on a smooth highway, backroad, or city street. The sound fills the cabin and never stops. They've worn evenly and still have tons of tread left, but I honestly can't take it anymore. Nobody wants to ride with me and it gives my daughter instant headaches. For a tire that's marketed as quiet, this has been the complete opposite experience.

I purchased these tires after 6 years and 30k miles on my Michelin Defender LTX M/S. I was a little leery with the UTQG Traction rating dropping to B from the previous A but with tread life listed similarly and great previous performance, I gave them a shot. I've driven 2,500 miles before posting the review. The M/S2 are fantastic on dry pavement and dissipate water very well. Unfortunately, around 35 F they become noticeably harder and break free much easier on cold or wet pavement compared to the previous M/S. With that, my initial assumption is that they have worse performance but herein lies the paradox. While they don't seem great getting moving and break free easy on acceleration, they seem hold true and stop well once in motion. Snow performance is similar to the aforementioned, but again cornering is fairly steady until acceleration is applied. The truck will still go where it's intended, but with considerably more wheel spin than the previous M/S in 2H. MPG appears to be comparable between the 113T SL M/S and 117T XL M/S2. Both ride quiet and have good feel when braking. They have a good look but not overly aggressive and don't pick up too many rocks. I would 100% recommend these for those who rarely experience snow or cold but would probably stick to swapping these out for Michelin Ice X for the cooler or snow filled months or plan to use full time AWD and the possibility of reduced tread life due to the additional slipping.

The Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 is a strong all-season tire that delivers a quiet, comfortable ride with excellent traction in both dry and wet conditions. It's known for long tread life, stable handling, and dependable braking, making it a great choice for daily driving, highway miles, and light weather. While it's not built for heavy off-roading or deep snow, it performs reliably in most everyday situations. Overall, it's a high-quality, durable tire that offers strong value and confidence on the road.

I have a Ford F150 King Ranch, and I bought this truck with 40K miles and the original tires. I now have 111,000 miles on it and still have tread left. Winter is around the corner, and I figured its time, so I have just bought a new set of the exact same tires and am expecting them to last another 100K+ miles. Great all around performance from these Defender LTX M/S2 tires. As always, Michelin tires are always the best choice in all categories that matter. They consistently deliver excellent traction, handling and comfort all while providing the longest durability I've ever experienced. I've been driving for well over fifty years and almost all of those have been on Michelin tires. When purchasing new vehicles which are not factory equipped with Michelin tires, I've seen the performance from other manufacturers drop off significantly. In those cases I've opted to replace those tires over to Michelin's at the earliest possible time. I only choose Michelin tires for all of my family vehicles because they have always been the best performing brand I've ever experienced.

I have been a fan of Michelin LTX tires for my light trucks for many years. The problem is with your rebate process. The on-line process is so cumbersome and riddled with technical roadblocks that many people without high level computer skills will simply NOT BE ABLE TO COMPLETE THE PROCESS! Are you kidding me, how many people actually have a FAX machine at home!

My trucks original tires were Goodyear Wrangler. They were all right but these are the best I've had them before in the past. Quiet handling is far better. More durable just overall a much better tire and Canadian made maybe! I am very happy with my Michelin tires!

Back in May of 2019 I purchased a full set of 4 - 235/55R19 Michelin Defender LTX tires for our Ford Flex. I'd always been comfortable with Michelin tires for the quality of their construction and safe handling while driving. I also bought them for their mileage warranty! These came with a 65,000 miles guarentee! As of today Saturday 10/25/2025 my vehicle mileage is 89,497, and when I purchased these tires my mileage was approximately 05/09/2019 was 63,067 leaving a total mileage on the tires is only 26,430. My tires are in need of replacement "NOW", as they're only an 1/8th of an inch or less from reaching the wear indicaters in the tires, and the requiring new tires.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Michelin Defender LTX M/S 2 are great tires for modem pickup trucks & full size SUVS. I own a Chevrolet Suburban LT and this tires fit them perfectly, I can feel the difference while I'm driving if how these tires work on any terrain, specially on rainy days. The material is thick and the tires look powerful. I recommend them if you have a large truck!
