We are really sorry to hear you had this experience with our Downy Ultra Soft + Calm Liquid Fabric Softener, Lavender and Vanilla Bean. It must upsetting that the product left such sensation on your health. We appreciate you providing us with this feedback, but this is definitely not the type of experience we want you to go through. P&G has invested over $495 million and decades of effort into developing non-animal testing methods, collaborating with animal welfare groups, academia, industry, and policymakers. Their work has contributed to over 40 countries banning animal testing for cosmetics. P&G no longer tests consumer products on animals unless legally required and uses more than 50 non-animal alternatives, half of which they helped invent. They actively support #BeCrueltyFree and continue to partner with organizations like Humane Society International and PETA to promote new alternatives and advocate for their global adoption to eliminate animal testing. Also, any fabric softeners can cause greasy, wet-looking, or colored spots on clothes if they come into direct contact, but these spots are not permanent. To remove small spots, dampen with warm to hot water, rub with Ivory bar soap, rinse, and launder as usual, or pre-treat with Dawn dish soap before washing. For large spots, rewash using 2 capfuls of Liquid Tide (Plus Bleach Alternative or Original) in the hottest water safe for the fabric. Use HE detergent in HE washers and non-HE detergent in standard washers. Also, fabric softener buildup can clog the machine dispenser. Please know, safety is our top priority, all our products are thoroughly evaluated to be safe when used as directed, so this is not what we would expect.
