We are sorry to hear that your Scotts EZ Seed Sun and Shade Grass Mix did not germinate as expected. This seed mix is a combination of bluegrass, ryegrass, and fescue. While the ryegrass and fescue should germinate in 2 weeks, it could take 28 days for the bluegrass to come up. We want you to be aware that we do back our product with a product guarantee. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to speak further about this. You can reach us at http://tinyurl.com/mds8zo5.

We are sorry to hear that your seed did not germinate, We understand how frustrating it can be to put forth the effort of seeding and yield less than optimal results. Temperature plays a major role in all seeding endeavors. For Cool Season Grasses (Bluegrass, Ryegrass, and Fescue) Soil temperatures must be at least 55 degrees (+12.7 Celsius) for grass seed to germinate, the warmer the soil, the faster the germination. This generally requires daytime temperatures consistently in the 65+ degrees (18.3 Celsius) range. In the spring it takes a lot of consistent warm temperatures to warm up the soil, especially in the northern states Cool nighttime temperatures and fluctuating temperatures will slow germination. We want you to be confident in our products, this is why we offer a product guarantee. If you would like to further discuss this, please contact us here: http://tinyurl.com/mds8zo5

Thanks Scotts

Thanks Scotts. This product worked too well, and the spot that I used it in is now thicker than the grass surrounding it.

I had a patch of yard that had several years earlier been a small garden but I now wanted to grow grass in the area. Scotts EZ Seed worked great!

We are sorry to hear that this product did not yield as much new grass as you had hoped. It certainly can be frustrating to put the effort into seeding and only see minimal results.
