Wow!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was so easy and it worked great. Our dog had made a few bare spots in the backyard over the winter. I used a hard rake to loosen the soil and clean out dead grass. I sprinkled on EzSeed and it came out brown. Once it got wet it expanded and darkened up as it absorbed the water 7-10 days later grass was popping up. Great product Thanks!

Scotts EZ Seed is a very effective grass seed.

With quite a few problem areas of all sorts (shade, hill side, etc.) Scotts EZ Seed has managed to grow grass where other products have failed miserably. Of course, I had to prep the area first and then maintain it with water especially but your product made the problem spots in my lawn turn a luscious green. Thank you!

Works when applied properly!

Had bare spots in mostly shady areas. Where I had roughed up the ground and partially buried the seeds it grew like gangbusters! Couldn't be more pleased! Where I had just spread it on the bare hard ground it had much less growth, but still got started so it can eventually grow in. Overall very much worth the price. :-)

Great Product

We had a section of our lawn where grass just wouldn't grow. We had new soil added and re-seeded it, but it still had many patches of bare spots and seeding them just didn't work. So last fall we put down EZ Seed in all the spots. This year we have a very plush and green lawn where we've never been able to grow grass before. It was a bit more expensive, but it worked!!

Not sure why all the bad reviews

I used EZ Seed all around my new patio when it was put in three years ago. It took a week or two to see any growth. I used it in the summer and then after the winter and into the next summer it had grown in very full. To this day it is still very full and I have had no issues with any of it dying. I can't believe there are so many bad reviews because this product worked great for me! I would definitely recommend it

Didn’t perform quite as good as expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had some bare spots in my lawn. Following the directions I used the Ez seed patch repair. The areas I used it on did fill in somewhat, but not as full as I expected. The areas were still somewhat sparse.

un-uniform growth

seems to work okay on small spots. Doesn't seem to work well on larger areas(3' x 4'). Thought maybe 1st container was an issue. 2nd container not much better(purchased from different vendor). Sparse growth. Even some small spots not germinating. Similar problems with this product last year. Old fashion seeding with seed, peat moss, etc. works the best.

We are sorry that you experienced somewhat lacking results inyour recent seeding effort. We'd like to offer a few tips that may be helpful to you in future seeding endeavors. Scotts EZ Seed requires both continuous moisture and warm soil temperatures. When one of these conditions is missing, poor germination is the result. You also must be sure to spread the EZ Seed Sun & Shade evenly over the prepared area. The seed should be sparsely applied to the depth of about 1/16" to 1/8" thick. If the product has been applied too thickly, germination will be poor. Temperature plays an important role in seedling germination. Soil temperatures for this particular product must be at least 55° F for the seed to germinate. For best results, daytime temperatures must typically be in the 60-80°F. range and not going below 50°F at night. Seeds will not germinate if the temperatures are cold at night, or are fluctuating from high day temperature to very low night time temperatures. We hope these extra tips are helpful. We want you to be confident in our products, this is why we offer a product guarantee. If you would like to further discuss this, please contact us here: http://tinyurl.com/mds8zo5

this product works wonders for central Illinois

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used the seed program for spot problems in my yard for several years. It works for me and my family on all types of soil and it is so easy to know how much and when to water I showed my wife to do the watering for me. Very happy with this product.

Great Product for Bare Spot Repair !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This will grow grass in just about any where ! You do need to get the correct grass for the conditions in which you are planting full sun , shade , ect. Follow the direction and provide enough water and the GRASS WILL GROW !
