My neighbor and I had a similar problem with patch issues in our lawns. I bought EZ Seed and he bought your competitor’s product. Bought new top soil and removed damaged turf. I am still waiting for growth after two and half weeks and he his in only ten days in with great growth. EZ Seed is anything but easy. Been three weeks with nothing. Temps are favorable and still nothing. Going to buy his product(Schultz). What a waste of time and money. Should have listened to the negative feedback from your former customers. Have to say all your fertilizer and weed and feed products are great, but take EZ Seed off the market

I had construction on my property which destroyed the back yard. Normal seed takes too long to germinate so I used EZ SEED. It worked as described. The grass starns seemed to be thinner than other grass. I let the grass grow for four weeks before cutting. The plastic jug container never seem to be full but the smaller bag seems to be a good value. I was happy with the product.

Recently I bought two bags of this product (one of 20 and another of 40 Lbs). The project I had in mind was very important that even I bought 3 yards of top soil to make sure everything turned out correctly. Viewing videos about this product convinced me to buy it because it seemed easy to use. I did all this on 9/23. A week later I could see that the area where I applied the content of the 20-pound bag began to sprout but was not consistent. 27 days later I'm still waiting for results from the content of the 40 pounds bag. I made sure not to mix the two bags and follow all directions. But I think this only works in small areas.

Plus the growth was spotty...Too much cost for too little results. Some areas blew away when dry during windy days I even used good bagged garden soil to ammend the planting area at an extra cost with poor results. Never again. Alan Karwowski

I purchased this to use on some ruts that were done by a landscape company when they hauled in 10 yards of topsoil for our front flower beds. They threw some dirt in the ruts and then seeded with no straw or any cover. Their seed did not come up. I purchased this bottle using a coupon from the Scott's website. I thought it was still pricey compared to other brands but bought it anyway. I've had good results with other Scotts products in the past and was impressed with their quality. I've used their AccuGreen drop spreader for years. I put down the seed and followed the directions. I knew I had to water it daily for any chance of it coming up. After about 2 weeks, I saw tiny green hairs sprouting through and I knew that it might take. I kept watering it and it became established. That was last year during the summer that I did this. This year, one can still see the ruts but now they are bright green as the grass is greener than the rest of the lawn! The former ruts are now two bright green lush bands of grass, relatively weed-free while the rest of the front lawn is light green and weedy. I wish the rest of the front lawn would look as lush as those former ruts! If this wasn't so expensive, I'd do the entire front yard with this product! I will plan on overseeding the front yard this fall and I'll be certain to use Scotts as their quality can't be beat! It's more expensive but you get what you pay for!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 3rd year of using EZ seed. There wasn't much snow here this winter and with a dog on the premises there were many brown places this spring and EZ seed is a huge help in taking care of those. I highly recommend it!

There is no reason to have a bare spot or brown spot on your lawn with a product like this with such ease of use. I will keep using it as long as I need to patch my lawn,

I didn't realize that they made a pet urine spot patch variation of EZ Seed before I tried this, but I'm not sure it would have made much of a difference. I decided to try the EZ Seed Jug 4 weeks ago when I took to repairing about 20 or so spots in the lawn. Some small, some large and some from urine. The larger ones even got a new layer of soil before the EZ Seed went down in the correct amount. Well after watering (which is cool to watch the mulch material expand the first time), and watering, and watering...well at about 2 weeks in I got germination. At 3 weeks I got what you would call baby grass. And at 4 weeks now, it still looks like short baby grass sprouting in seas of mulch. Not impressed. However that isn't even the most annoying part. It is the fact that while the fertilizer in the EZ Seed can't get the new grass to grow very well, the surrounding grass in the already existing turf went nuts. Super green and tall! END RESULT: Spots on the lawn that stick out like sore thumb since they are so green and tall compared to the rest. And when you get in close to those spots, you see a center to the spot that seems to be mostly brown mulch with sporadic new grass growth. Not something I would use again in this fashion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works perfect for what I needed. I have a large female golden retriever and whenever she goes to the bathroom, she kills the grass there. All I need to do is pull the drag grass and sprinkle some of this and in two weeks I can’t tell where it was!
