[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scotts ez seed is just as it says EZ. All you have to do is remove all thatch, shake the seed out onto the ground. Done! Everything is included, seed, fertilizer and cover included in container. You can even tell when you need to water by the color of the area after it is applied. The grass looks great from the seed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I applied the EZ Seed Sun & Shade seed to a shaded area with a southern exposure in early Sept. With daily watering the seed germinated and grew after 1 week. I recommend EZ Seed Sun & Shade for small areas or where you grass is thin due to shading.

First let me say that I am a believer in Scott products and have had good experience with seed and spreaders. However, when I went to fill in a few minor patches with this product, my otherwise excellent Scott assisted lawn sprung crab grass in every single spot this was applied. Now I have a new problem. Unless you are looking for crab grass do steer clear of this product. In fact I would suggest that Scott take this off the market.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scotts EZ Seed Sun & Shade really works. We prepared the ground by roughing it up with a rake first and then spread the seed. The shaker/spreader top makes that really convenient. Then we watered. We watered again over the next several days as per instructions and got really good growth. We had to reapply the seed in a few spots later but they germinated and sprouted just fine. So we're real pleased with the result we got with this product. And in a shaded location, too. Thanks Scotts.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have this stubborn area in my lawn with hard compacted soil, I loosened the soil and used EZ Seed and now I have grass. It took about 7 days for the grass to germinate. The EZ seed product was easy to use and stays in place when you water it, which to me was the key to success.

I have a large lawn and sometimes get areas where grass is damaged or killed. For a small or big spot, I clean the area, add a little topsoil for good measure, then use Scotts EZ-Seed and lots of water. In a week or so, I'm always amazed at the lush fill-in spot that appears. It's a great product, but just a little pricey...try to find it on sale and use it when needed.

I shake it back and gorth and it spreads ebenly on the area I want to treat It germinated in about 4 days and continues to thicken up ebery day. Not sere what types of grasses will grow but so far it looks great.

Use as little or as much as you need by simply sprinkling it out! No bag to fall over & spill out. Plus the seedlings work every time. We like to say the grass would grow in cement!
