I wasn't sure which product to use this time so I bought the EZ Seed once again and a bag Scotts top soil to mix into the soil. I also bought a bag of Scotts Patch Master. After 3 weeks, the EZ Seed didn't produce a single grass stalk. The Patch Master produced grass over 90% of the applied area! See photo's attached

I've grown our lawn from this biannually for the past 3-4 years. I put down burlap during germination and it sprouts. If I don't, it doesn't. I can get it going for a few weeks. I put up barriers to keep people off, keep it moist until it's established, etc. It grows lush and thick under our tree, but it never lasts more than a season and it's a dust bowl again. In the sun, it sprouts in the spring and grows til about June when it withers and dies and it turns into a dustbowl again. The first time someone steps on it, it dies (Even after it is 4-5 inches long. I've literally seen footprint shaped spots where it's died from stepping on it once.) In the fall, when it's cool enough to plant again, I get it to sprout, but it dies as soon as the frost and snows hit and never fully establishes itself. If I overseed hoping it will sprout in the spring, nothing happens. It's a lot of effort to put in multiple times a year.

The area I seeded filled in super dense and a nice deep green color. The new area blended with the rest of my lawn just fine and helped improve the curb apeal of my home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product pretty much says it all; space E Zseed Will take over your brown spots in your lawn with minimal work to the spots to be repaired. Scratch the surface and leave the product that simple. Even if you get lazy and just sprinkle the product out to the brown spots It will it here and take hold as long as you water. Great seed built in along with fine mulches that far excell other products on the market.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to use for sure! I had some dead spots on the side lawn of my house. I shook the product out anywhere there was a bald spot. After that, I watered regularly for a few weeks and had great success.

However, in Michigan we've had exceptionaly warm weather so I decided to try Scotts EZ Seed Sun & Shade in a few areas around my house. As it was quite warm the seed grew fairly fast and repaired the bare spots in my lawn. I'm am pleased with the results and will use the rest in the spring time as the e-mail requested. If it works that good now it should be even better in the spring. Thank you for the opportunity to be able to try this fast & easy seed! I was impressed.

I purchased this from my local hardware store in early spring this year and regret wasting my money. I had a section of the lawn that I need to reseed and decided to spend the extra money on this product rather than using the usual grass seed I use. I raked the section, watered the ground and applied the product as instructed. I then watered again to allow the mulch to absorb th water. I continued to water for the next couple of weeks, hoping I would have a great stand of grass by the end of spring. Well, it is now the end of May and it looks as if I did very little. I am not sure if there was any grass seed in the container. I have very little grass in the section that it was applied and I will now have to reseed this fall. I am extremely disappointed in this product. For the price of this product, I was hoping for a nice stand of grass. Instead I got a few blades and the rest is still dirt. Do not waste your money.

These containers are expensive and one would expect to get some great results. The grass grew very sporadically. I bought some seed at 1/3 the price and it grew great. I expect to see the canned response of do this and do that. The area was well prepared for the seed. I watered it 3-4 times a day depending on the sun. It was just an overpriced and poor producing seed. As for the warranty, it is a joke. Come on who keeps receipts on a product you bought weeks ago.

We had a large brush pile in our backyard that we finally burned up but it left a large dirt spot behind. We wanted to grow grass there and tried a generic product that did absolutely nothing. We used the Scotts EZ Seed on Memorial day and now (July 5th) it's thick and healthy: it looks like it's been here forever. We even made the mistake of stepping all over it in the first few days of seeding and it still grew. I've already mowed it twice and it's going strong. I plan on using this product again for other dead patches in our yard. Unfortunately I can't add pictures because the files are too large.

I bought the product at Costco.... then went out and looked at reviews. I was scared since it seems theres nothing but poor reviews. So I wanted to make sure I came on here and told you about my experience. I live in Seattle WA. My front lawn had some moss problems so I put down some grass fertilizer/moss killer stuff that turned the moss black. I ripped out the black moss patchs and was left with some bare patchs. I loosened up the dirt, placed the seed down and watered. Every day after work if it hadn't rained (early spring time) I would water probably the first 2 weeks maybe 3. The grass looks amazing!! It actually looks so good it makes the rest of my grass look a little sorry! Only thing I can think of is the poor reviewers didn't water the product as much as needed. Maybe if the directions stated you must water once a day. People read directions and stick to what is exactly written. Would definitely reco this product.
