This Gen is a BEAST!

This is one generator I know is going to last for years. Well worth the money and looks great to. I use this on my stealth cargo trailer for off grid camping and run everything on it.. from my 12000 BTU wall a/c and microwave at the same time while charging my 6 battery bank. The remote works well and goes through the insulated walls to the generator mounted on the trailer tongue.

Looks Good So Far

Gives me the false confidence that all my power needs will be met when an EMP takes out our electrical grid & we're without electricity for over a year. When everyone is starving & dying around me I'll be curled up next to this generator wishing I could find more propane/gasoline to keep it going. Guess I better get a solar generator as well. Until then it looks good sitting in my garage. Please send my bonus generator cover soon!

Quality product

Received two days after ordering , unpacked assembled (which was easy) added Oil and the Generator started on the first attempt with Propane. I plugged in a portable AC unit for testing all worked as designed. I know Westinghouse is a well-known, trusted brand that consistently makes quality products. This is something I hope I will never need but I am confident it will perform if the need arises.

Runs like a champ!!!

Searched online for a few days, read lots of reviews. Have put about 60 hours on it already. The remote is awesome. Be sure to change the oil after the first 20 hours. I don't check the oil before every start, but it goes through about 1/2 quart every 18 hours. I have also taken it out to about 18 hours on single tank of gas. Not a lot of load, but had refrigerator, freezer, TV, couple of lights, security cameras, coffee pot, toaster oven on it. I'm very happy with results.

Packaged well and arrived within 3 days

Have not tested yet but the generator arrived at the store within 3 business days which was surprising. Packaged very well and survived its trip. Appears well built with heavy frame and handle bar, the only thing i have to do is install its wheels and oil it up.

Peace of Mind

We purchased this generator because of the price point as well as for peace of mind. If we should lose electricity we know we have a trusty generator to help up out. The benefits of push button and remote start are just icing on the cake! I would recommend anyone/everyone do your homework, and then get this one if it works best for your situation, it has for us.

Easy to set-up and use!

I've owned other brands in the past. The WGen7500DFc is the easiest to set-up. Owner's manual is very easy to understand. The best feature is the electric start. My wife was never able to start our other portable generator. Making them useless when I was traveling on business. Also like the fact that it came with the necessary motor oil, required tools, and a remote start. Now I can travel without worrying about my wife being able to start the generator is the power goes out.

Good (or better) Generator in its class

It's very heavy and a bit noisy, loud enough to disturb the neighbors after midnight, but I guess that is to be expected for this type of generator. Setup was easy and it started on the first attempt. I bought this as a backup power supply in the event our power company decided they needed to turn off power. (Original response moderated because I named the power company in question and my review was rejected). Fortunately, in the month I have had it, I haven't had the need to use the generator any more than my initial 20 minutes test after receiving it, It did start on the first try and ran very smoothly during that test. Long-term satisfaction will have to wait until I actually need it and I hope that this won't be for a long time! Based on the construction and overall attention to detail, and other reviews I have seen, I have no doubts that it will stand up to the job when needed. Small example of the attention to detail. I love that the battery arrived fully charged which made the generator able to start right out of the box (after adding oil, of course). I also appreciate that they included a charger in case it had been sitting around in a warehouse before I received it. I also appreciate the detailed maintenance instructions in the owners/instruction manual. As someone not accustomed to running small engine devices, I find the instructions very helpful an have no doubts I can do what needs to be done to keep this thing running. Two minor caveats, the first has nothing to do with this particular generator, it's just a fact of life with this whole class is that the electric output is not clean enough to run delicate electronics (computers, TVs, etc.) without first running it through an inverter. If you plan on running such equipment I would strongly advise you to investigate an inverter generator as an alternative. My second issue/complaint is that there is no approved way of making the generator quieter. Specifically prohibited in FAQs from Westinghouse are that mufflers and sound attenuating "boxes" are not allowed. If you are out in the country and your nearest neighbor is a quarter of a mile away, this won't be an issue. But if you are in the city, like I am and have neighbors within 100 feet on either side, it is a concern. But, yes, I would recommend this generator to others with the warning that I have not been able to give it a thorough workout. One more thing, I greatly appreciate the dual fuel option, most definitely worth the extra cost.

"The BOSS"

Opened the box when I received it and right off the bat, there was the Owners Manual and a Quick Setup Guide. I knew then this was going to be a quality product, they had already put some thought into this by putting these manuals up front where you need them, not crammed on the side or on the bottom. I immediately went to the quick set up guide took out the parts needed to put this beauty together. Parts were all together so it took about 15 minutes to put the rear wheels and front bumper feet on them put the oil in it and it was ready to go. I couldn't hardly wait to fire the guy up. After years of trying to get my old one started by pulling it 20 times, this bad boy had electric start. The first I have owned of anything that was electric start and I was praying I did not make a mistake buying this one. Another plus was this took propane of gas so I grabbed my extra bottle of propane and hooked it up with the handy LPG hose that came with the generator. The excitement was building. I was now ready to push that magical button to see what would happen. So after one last check to ensure everything was set the way it should be, I WENT FOR IT. IS THIS ELECTRIC START EVERYTHING I HAD HEARD ABOUT!. Well when I pressed the button, nothing happened and them there came this beautiful hummmm . That is when the bad boy became "The BOSS''. Just as advertised. I tried al the different functions except for the gasoline side and everything worked great! The remote start/stop is a real asset. The 420cc\(13hp) engine sounds and runs strong. This generator has all the bells and whistles that you could possibly need. It is well designed and looks really nice. The padded handle to move the generator along with what appears to be a little oversized wheels on the back, make it very easy to move . The Owners Manuel and the spec sheet is very well done with real quality paper and binding. Although I have not used it extensively I know already, this baby will provide me all the performance I will need when I need it..

Easy Setup and Operation

I bought this when we moved to Orlando, Florida one year ago, installed a natural gas line with quick connect, and then waited for a power outage. Fortunately, the Southeast side of Orlando has not experienced any power outages, consequently, I have only been able to run the generator as though there were an outage. However, it has been great practice to start up the generator and pull extension cords to mine and my neighbors' refrigerators. Only one note to make, is that the 10 foot 3/4" pipe and 25-foot 1/2" natural gas hose does take ~8 minutes to pressurize the gas flow....then the WGen7500DF starts on first automatic ignition. GREAT PRODUCT!
