Seems like a great generator.

We were out of power for 5 days this summer. I decided to get the wGEN7500DF so that I would be prepared next time. I haven't had to use it yet, but it was easy to assemble and I think the Duel fuel option could be handy as gas can be hard to find during emergencies.

Seems good so far!

We bought it and tried it out - all the features work and it started very easily. What is notable is that the instruction manual for these things is usually bad, but this one is very clear and well written. It is quite heavy to move down stairs though! Only time will tell how it holds up.

Good (or better) Generator in its class

It's very heavy and a bit noisy, loud enough to disturb the neighbors after midnight, but I guess that is to be expected for this type of generator. Setup was easy and it started on the first attempt. I bought this as a backup power supply in the event our power company decided they needed to turn off power. (Original response moderated because I named the power company in question and my review was rejected). Fortunately, in the month I have had it, I haven't had the need to use the generator any more than my initial 20 minutes test after receiving it, It did start on the first try and ran very smoothly during that test. Long-term satisfaction will have to wait until I actually need it and I hope that this won't be for a long time! Based on the construction and overall attention to detail, and other reviews I have seen, I have no doubts that it will stand up to the job when needed. Small example of the attention to detail. I love that the battery arrived fully charged which made the generator able to start right out of the box (after adding oil, of course). I also appreciate that they included a charger in case it had been sitting around in a warehouse before I received it. I also appreciate the detailed maintenance instructions in the owners/instruction manual. As someone not accustomed to running small engine devices, I find the instructions very helpful an have no doubts I can do what needs to be done to keep this thing running. Two minor caveats, the first has nothing to do with this particular generator, it's just a fact of life with this whole class is that the electric output is not clean enough to run delicate electronics (computers, TVs, etc.) without first running it through an inverter. If you plan on running such equipment I would strongly advise you to investigate an inverter generator as an alternative. My second issue/complaint is that there is no approved way of making the generator quieter. Specifically prohibited in FAQs from Westinghouse are that mufflers and sound attenuating "boxes" are not allowed. If you are out in the country and your nearest neighbor is a quarter of a mile away, this won't be an issue. But if you are in the city, like I am and have neighbors within 100 feet on either side, it is a concern. But, yes, I would recommend this generator to others with the warning that I have not been able to give it a thorough workout. One more thing, I greatly appreciate the dual fuel option, most definitely worth the extra cost.

Looks Good So Far

Gives me the false confidence that all my power needs will be met when an EMP takes out our electrical grid & we're without electricity for over a year. When everyone is starving & dying around me I'll be curled up next to this generator wishing I could find more propane/gasoline to keep it going. Guess I better get a solar generator as well. Until then it looks good sitting in my garage. Please send my bonus generator cover soon!

Great for home Backup

Nice features all in one package. Remote start dual fuel. The propane feature will be so nice. No gas going bad in the tank or in the can waiting for an emergency use. I didn't give it 5 stars only because I have not had it long enough to really put it to the test. In the winter it is not uncommon for me to go days without power.

Runs Smooth

I like this generator, but it was a hassle to start for the first time. Battery had to be charged, spark plug receded, and maintenance on the air filter. Still had to crank the starter several times till it finally kicked over. After that mess, no problem. Generator is very sturdy and well built. The power output is clean and runs all devices hooked up to it. Haven't tried the propane hockup yet. Easy to maneuver and not too noisy.

wGen7500DF

Just got this generator. Pretty straight forward to use right out of the the box. Minimal parts to install. It was set-up and running in under 30 mins. Runs both with gas and LP, started right up, by push-button, remote and pull starts. I would give it a higher rating, but I have not run this with a load yet, but I expect no issues. So far so good.

My power outage worries are over!

This is my 3rd generator I have had and I truly believe this will be the last one. It started right up and works splendidly. I love the electric start and appreciate the trickle charger that came with it to keep the battery ready. Propane is there and ready always. Found out later this is what 2 of my neighbors have and they are very happy with their generators. I get lots of power outages living in the woods and since my house is wired with a transfer switch this makes it particularly easy to power the things I need. Thanks!

Exactly what I needed - super easy remote start

This generator is exactly what I was looking for. Something that I could use when the power goes out that is portable, dual fuel option (propane option is awesome), and super easy to start especially in a situation where I am traveling and my wife would need to start it on her own. This has a remote start and sturdy wheels to easily put in place when you need it. Plenty to run my refrigerator and several appliances and charge mobile devices. I did a lot of research and this one was highly rated and rightfully so.
