Dual fuel portable generator

I am from New England but have been warned a generator is essential in Florida. We are both over 65. After much time reading reviews and talking to others, we determined that the dual fuel (gas or propane) presented the best options for us. Needless to say, the remote start was a must. A definete to have!

Dual fuel good wattage remote start with 240 volt

The shipping company damaged the box so was nervous, after opening it up found no damage to the unit. After assembly and adding oil the test, hooked to my propane tank and hit the auto start button. After cranking a a couple times it stopped, a second or so later it started cranking again ( nice feature will only crank for short periods saving the battery and starter). Well on the third time sputtered to life and it was running. Since that first start fires up first try. I havent really put it through its paces yet so couldnt give 5 stars but all in all I like the quality and features. The remote start works. Cons: it's a beast gonna take two to load this. Pretty loud, had 97db at 6 feet.

one push and "go."

I was deciding between a B+S gas powered inverter 6500W and this WGen7500DF. Although the Inverter is suppose to be quieter and have longer run time, I decided to go with the WH because of the ability to burn both gas or propane. I like the option and porpane burns cleaner and stores better than gas. My electrician wired our house with a transfer switch. We hooked it up today. One push on the electric start and "go." So easy to to start. He was impressed. A little loud...had to talk loud to hear each other. I live in an area where we loose power for several days at a time and every year. I hope this WH will do the job. I look forward to having heat and water, (hot and cold) when the power goes out. I wished WH made a dual fuel Inverter with over 5000 watts and a 30 amp, 240v connection. The only one I could find was the Honda EU 7000 for a whopping 4 grand. Sorry, Honda. It would take me a long time in fuel cost to make up the difference for the price of this WH which was around 1 grand. I am only rating 3 because I haven't tested it yet...

Starts-Up like a champ...everytime.

I purchased this unit in August, 2020 as a back-up home generator or as a portable off-site power plant. After the initial set-up, the generator has fired up on-command every time. This unit has all the features...outlets, voltage/amperage choices, needed for any and all of my uses. Best of all...it's dual fuel. I can use the same propane canister from my BBQ, if needed. I look forward to many, many hours of efficient use from my new WGen 7500DP.

Great device!

Received product some days ago. Easy to setup and run. I use LPG without any problems so far. Put device about 15 ft away from my house, 72 dB if i stay close within 5 ft, and down to 66 dB at far away about 25 ft. I want to keep running with LPG all the time. Thanks for the product.

High Quality Generator

I received the generator early in the morning and immediately set it up and put it through its paces. The remote start and dual fuel features were important to me. This generator will be used to power the house during the nearly annual power loss days in the Pacific Northwest. As such, I connected it to my transfer switch and switched the power to what the generator supplied. Even under a heavy load, the generator ran smoothly and far quieter than my previous generator. Being able to switch to propane from gas (and vice versa) is a great feature for any extended use periods. The generator is well constructed and the panel is thoughtfully laid out to maximize usefulness. So far, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Failed when we needed it most

Initial setup was nice and easy. Unfortunately when the first power outage came along the generator ran great for about 4 hours, then shut itself down. After that it would run for 10-15 minutes then shut down again. This was while running on propane with about 4000 watts of load. Half a tank of propane left, was plenty to run my BBQ for a few weeks. Support tried blaming the refrigerator. Guess I am on my own with a huge paperweight out of return window. Maybe I got a bad one, but you may want to avoid this product.

Automatic Start Doesn't work

we bought the generator in January and thankfully we have not had to use it yet (although I am anxious to try it). When we got the generator and had it hooked up, the technician identified that the auto start button didn't work and in order for us to use the machine we would have to use the manual pull start. Due to the size, weight and cost to return the item, I chose to keep it. It is unfortunate that the auto start didn't work, as that was a selling point and probably was reflected in the higher cost than the other models. Every few months we start it up to make sure it is working in the event we loose power and so far, no issues.

Duel fuel, remote start...Amazing

I bought this a few weeks ago and after setting it up I am thoroughly impressed with the build quality and features. The remote start is just the beginning of it. I really liked how the propane option eliminates any troubles related to gasoline going stale while provides an alternate fuel option.

Great buy!

The WGen7500DF is an extremely well built generator. It was extremely easy to attached the wheels and its standing legs. It comes with the propane lines and assembly tools. After attaching wheels and legs, joining the battery line, the propane tank was attached to the generator with the line provided. The generator thenstarted on the second depression of the start button and ran smooth. The noise level is a little loud but not excessive. The WGen7500DF is a great buy for the money.
