I purchased this generator to have it automatically start when the power goes out. I had to also purchase the ST switch to allow for this feature. I have not used generator at this point. I would have given it 5 stars, but when I first tried to start it up, it did not start. It seemed like the fuel was not getting into the carburetor initially. It took a few tries, but finally fired and started.

Excellent reviews on this generator and for the first time, I feel like I am ready for whatever storm may come. I have a well for my water supply, so electricity is a must have and this generator is more than enough to guaranty not only drinking water, but also working toilets.

This is my second Westinghouse generator. My first one was a pull start and I now have a health issue with my back, and although in summer weather it pulls easy to start, in winter at frigid cold temperatures and it being kept in a shelter outside, it pulled too hard for me. So I sold it and ordered an electric / battery start. Another bonus is that it can be started with a FOB and also this one is dual fuel whereas the former one was gas only. It covers all my home energy requirements in the event of a power failure and I now have two fuel types as options.

I used this generator for the first time last week. An ice storm took out our power for seven days. I can't say enough good things about it this model. I was a novice and never used anything like this before but the manual explains everything very well. This model was great for running what I needed to keep life normal for my family. I was able to run lights, TV and internet around the clock and I alternated a couple of the larger appliances for a few hours at a time.. refrigerator, water heater, range, microwave, two deep freezers. I will say that I got much more runtime with gasoline than propane. Ten gallons of gasoline ran about 18-20 hours. It is still nice to have that option as propane will store for a long time. I highly recommend this model!

When Hurricane Michael hit us in Alabama we were out of power but thankfully I​ just recently purchased this amazing generator. It ran my entire house without any issues. Refrigerator, Deep Freezer, TV, Internet, Coffee Pot and much more. I couldn't be more happy with this product.

I had a chance to use my new Westinghouse WGen7500DF dual fuel generator during a power line maintenance by my SDGE. The generator was put together in less than 1/2 hour and I connected it to my propane tank and it started with the first try. An electrician had already installed the switch at the power meter. My generator was connected to the whole house and everything worked normal.

It's great knowing that I now have the ability to keep my family safe and warm when the power goes out. The generator is everything I thought it would be. I set it up in about twenty minuets and I was off and running. I was surprised at the noise level. I thought it would be as loud as my old generator. It's a lot quieter.

We get a lot of storms in the NE and we are guaranteed to lose power 60% of the time. I was looking for a generator that would be able to hook directly into the house (with the proper connection) and basically be able to power most things in my home. The dual fuel is a bonus and as was when Sandy hit the gas stations went out also.

After adding (furnished) oil and connecting battery, this generator started with one push of the remote start fob. It ran smoothly and at reasonable noise level. Just what i wanted in an emergency power source, and one that I expect will give me years of service due to excellent build quality and generous warranty.. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

I bought my generator over a year ago. Our power went out last month and pulled the generator out of the box and it wouldn't start brand new. Turns out that the electric fuel valve was faulty. Thankfully, it was still covered by warranty. Kind of a hassle to take a big heavy generator to the mechanic.
