We shopped around quite a bit before settling on this Westinghouse model. Though we bought it a couple of years ago, hiring a licensed electrician to do the connection for our home, this was the first time we needed it when a bad storm took out our power for three days. Started up great and so glad we chose the option that ran our whole house for 7-8 hours using a bbq size propane tank. Worth the investment.

I bought this for emergency power outages and I haven't had reason to use it yet. It seems to be solidly built. The instructions are easy to follow and it started up with no problem. The only minor inconvenience I had was that the nuts welded to the frame for attaching the feet were misaligned so I had to knock them off and attached the feet with other bolts/nuts.

Directions were great. Assembly was minimal, and started right up. I only gave 4 stars because as soon as I put it on the side to mount the feet I saw the bottom looks like it was slid across a concrete floor. I don't plan on exposing it to wet conditions but I am concerned about rust and over time and the frames strength decreasing.

I bought this a few months ago and did nothing more than fire it up for a whole house test and then parked it. Yesterday, the power went out and is expected to be out for 3 more days! Hooked it up and it fired right up. I used propane so I don't have to worry about old gas in it. A 30lb tank ran it at about 3/4 power (had AC on and a hot water tank) for almost 9 hours! Had one issue of the breaker on the gen tripping when the water heater came on while the AC was on. Just flipped it back up and it continued to go. Now we're waiting to see if this beast can run for 3 days without a break.

Although frustrated with buying the generator and it now working right out the box. Once I contacted Westinghouse and worked through several issues, namely cleaning the carburetor and slightly tapping the gas solenoid to release the pin; the generator finally started. Where the generator failed I feel the costumer service was outstanding. Thank you for the help.

I've been meaning to get a generator for awhile and I finally got the 7500DF. I asked a few people who had a Westinghouse and they said get the dual model….propane (which won't degrade) and gas. I saw the great reviews on different websites and they were positive. I'm content now that I have a generator.

Getting ready for the Hurricane season, we finally got it together and got a generator for our house. After a LOT of research, we opted for the Westinghouse product. It arrived yesterday morning...and we had it assembled and put away within 30 minutes. Today we filled all the fluids and fired it up...started immediately and provided power for us. We are very satisfied so far and are ready for the storms!

This dual-fuel generator was recommended to us for a power upgrade after the last storm left us dependent on a smaller generator for a full week! Though we haven't needed it yet, this powerful unit will cover many more electricity demands in our home. The push-button start is easy to use for all family members. When tested, we hope to give it 5 stars.

We purchased this generator for emergency use and because it is dual fuel (gas/propane). The setup instructions were very clear and setup went well. We added the oil, connected the propane, and were ready to go. Since the battery was too low to electrically start, we used the pull cord and the generator started on the second pull. The system runs great and we are looking forward to using it for other jobs around the house besides emergencies. We love the electric start, the duel fuel option, the ease of use and the remote switch option. Thanks, Westinghouse!

I think this is a great generator,but did not come with the remote control.The deliverer company(pilot) bring the package in wrong position over the pallet,they kept the machine in front of my house with out any notice or text. May be the machine has problems to start.I will report it if it happen,but i give 5 stars for the westinghouse. I recommend the company.Thank You!~!
