Just purchased the 7500W dual fuel generator. The set-up was easy and started and ran as expected. The remote start is a great feature and came pre-programmed. The only reason I rated 3 stars was because the alternator cover was smashed in at the bottom when I unpacked the unit. I was able to remove the cover and pound it out just hoping there was no damage to the components under the cover.

Bought this unit and so far so good. Has all the functions one would need. We are using it for house back up as we get a lot of power outages due to weather. The instruction manual is great, very detailed. Be sure to read the manual before using it as there are some things that have to be done to the wiring before using on a transfer switch.

After a few years of my wife telling me to get a generator and months of research I decided on the Wgen7500DF. First of all I like the color of the unit,just joking. This gen had all the features I was looking for , an added one being the remote. I was able to use the remote when I was installing the unit , while I was in the basement I could start it up without going up the stairs and outside ,saved me time and energy. It is loud but then again I do not have anything to compare it to.The auto start works great, once depressed it will automatically try several times to start the unit. I had to try twice only because it was cold. The cost was a bit more than similar gens but I felt that this was the one for the family

I enjoy having the versatility in the fuel source. In the instructions you may as well state, FOR A NEW PURCHASED GENERATOR, POUR IN THE WHOLE CONTAINER OF OIL. I was pouring a little - then check. Pour a little - then check. I did not want to mess-up the process, because i didn't know how large or small the tank was. By the time I realized it, three quarters of the container was empty. Anyway, I'm happy to have it.

After several power outages this year we finally decided that we should have some back up power. The ease of hook up and dual fuel made this generator an easy pick. It provides all of the power necessary to maintain the critical circuits in our house.

I purchased this generator online, and was a little nervous about having it delivered to my home, where I would have to put it together. It arrived sooner than expected, which was a positive right out the gate. When I opened the box, everything was well packaged and separated for the installation process. I was able to get the wheels on quickly, and loved that the generator came with the correct oil and oil funnel. After getting it together and gas in it, I followed instructions to start it. The engine turned over numerous times, but wouldn't start. I tried starting it for 5 minutes with the electric start….no go. I tried pull starting it….no go. I was pretty frustrated, so walked away. After about 10 minutes I went back and pushed the electric start and it started right up! I tried the remote start and stop and it worked fantastic! I know Westinghouse is a good product, and that this generator will be exactly what I need….reliable and powerful.

It's a very good generator. I was able to power my whole townhouse even run the A/C on it no problems output wise. It's a little loud for living in a townhome community. If you plan on running one with close by neighbors I would recommend getting an enclosure for it. I am planning to build one to make the noise level manageable during outages. Now on to the issue I had. When I would switch the fuel selector to propane then flip the switch to the RUN position, I noticed the electric start or panel lights would die. It would blow the 10amp fuse located behind the panel near the pull start cable. It would happen every time I changed the fuse only when on propane. Switch to gasoline with switch to RUN fuse didn't blow (Battery indicator would stay lit and electric start would work). Switch back to propane and pop the fuse again. I figured something was shorting out so I followed the wiring diagram from the propane switch to the connector and notice it was on the wrong pin in the plug (purple line in attached image). It was one over from where it should be. I moved it back over 1 pin and everything is working flawlessly. QC should of caught this issue as the factory before shipping it off, which is why I gave the rating I gave, but I do say this is an excellent generator once I fixed the issue and I have no doubt it will last for years to come.

I think this is the best purchase we've ever made of a portable generator. The small footprint of the unit makes for easy storage. The setup/startup is so user friendly, once getting familiar with safety precautions it took about 15 minutes to operations. We made this purchase to power the necessities due in power outage. We will connect through manual transfer switch going forward.

My first generator, and after weeks of research, decided the WGen7500 was the best ratings/value for this size generator. Hooked up battery and after adding oil and gas, it started up the first try. Alot quieter than the 5500 watt generator we use at work.

I researched many generators and watched alot of reviews before selecting this generator. I chose it for it options including the push start, remote start, dual fuel capabilities, quality and power output options. Once I opened the box I realize just what a great unit this is. Though maybe not the quietest, the noise level is very manageable. I really don't believe I could have gotten a better generator.
