I researched dual fuel generators for several weeks following hurricane Iasias that caused us to lose power for 6 days-along with the loss of power was the loss of almost $1000 in food from 2 refrigerators we own-this generator has the capablity to run all our appliances and then some-the name Westinghouse sealed the deal

Compare to my previous generator, it is easy to start with electric button and remote. And battery is connected to power supply to maintain the life of battery. Dual Fuel is convenient since I always have 2 tanks of propane gas so I can start using right the way without worrying to get gasoline.

so happy we got this dual fuel generator to run our whole house with a well, and a choice of which fuel to use , we can have gasoline on hand and a couple bottles of propane, which won't go bad after sitting, and we can take it camping with propane in the 5th wheeler, the remote start is awesome

I just received my wgen7500 dual fuel. It came package well and in good shape. The problem started when I tried to install the feet to the under side of the generator. The nut that was welded to the frame to receive the bolt was welded on crooked and the bolt would not thread in straight. After trying for an hour I finally got it started but was cross threaded. As I tried to tighten it down the bolt snapped off. I then had to fabricate my own mounting system for that foot. Something else you should know is if you turn the generator off while running on propane and then try to restart it, it will backfire through the muffler because propane is still feeding into the motor I guess. The only way to stop this is to shut propane tank down immediately when you turn generator off even if its only for 2-3 minutes before you are going to restart it, it will backfire. This kind of defeats the purpose of having a remote start if you have to go turn the propane off and on each time you want to start it. The next frustrating thing was when I went to register the generator, the form asked for a serial #. Well there is not a serial # on the tag, only a model # and a part #. I am assuming the part # is the serial # but not sure so I gave all the #s on the tag and they can figure it out. Over all the machine seems to run good on both gas and propane and started right up when I tried.

Setup was easy, took very little time before it was up and running. Heavy, but that's expected in a generator this size. Moves easily once the wheels are attached. Great feature set, including the remote start or push button start. Better than any other generator I own.I did have some trouble with mine in gasoline mode. I put in standard 85 octane gas, but it was 10% ethanol. Generator ran fine for about 2 1/2 hours, then stopped. Guess it didn't like the ethanol. Works fantastically on propane though.

features exactly as described, no shipping damage, easy to assemble. My unit is for emergency use only so called CS. They told me to charge the battery for eight hours every 2 months, plus I could not find the remote. They told me it typically is clipped to the manual start pull rope. That is exactly where I found it. So I was very happy to get what I ordered and actually talk to a knowledgeable person to answer my questions quickly.

It was easy to put together. The best part is that it started right up. With a remote key fob. The wheels are plastic and cheap light weight junk. I'm already having to report them, but I don't really have much need to roll this thing around, so hopefully they'll last long enough for my purposes. I plugged in my portable AC unit with a Kill-A-Watt load measuring device, and the unit seems to be putting out 12-1400 watts without any change in pitch. The instructions say not to put more than 50% load on the genny for the first 5 hours of use. I'll need to get some more gas to give it a proper break-in, but I'm confident it will work out just fine. I really did my research and this thing claims more "mileage" than other equivalent units. I'm hoping it will really work out as I want to hook it up to my house with a transfer switch. Hurricane alley, so I need it to work!

Started up on propane ran for a few minutes then stoped would not re start went and got a full tank of propane took several tries to re start kept back firing finally started.I ran for 10 minutes with shop fan pluged in ok so far.We will try to run house cuirts when my quick connect switch box is installed.

I bought this generator prior to winter 2020. Fortunately I have not had to use it yet, but the peace of mind that comes with having it ready to go is definitely worth the money. i did a test run with it, and everything went perfectly smooth. The dual fuel option is great for me as I have propane on hand. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.

I bought this three years ago. I am disappointed that I cannot leave the unit hooked to propane on standby to use remote since the propane “leaks” through the carburetor. Do not buy if you want to use propane only and take advantage of remote start.
