Great product, but the Warranty?

The warranty will be void if you make any modifications to the exhaust in order to put it in my RV. They offer no tail pipe, nor is it allowed to run the exhaust outside of your RV therefore it can't be mounted inside the compartment made for a generator. as per tech. Support.

Hi CFrost, We're sorry to hear about your frustration with this situation! As shown on our website, our warranty specifies for non-warrantable aplications, "Products that are modified or altered in a manner not authorized in writing by MWE Investments, LLC." Unfortunately, any permanent modifications will null the coverage of your WGen7500DF because they are not designed for outside the original intended usage. While we do not authorize these changes for safety and preventative measures, you are free to modify the generator however you would like so long as you have a clear understanding of your warranty. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Great Generator-battery connect instructions WRONG

This really is a great generator. I set it up according to the instruction booklet, but the electric starter didn't work and I had to use the pull cord. A video review explained that there is a plug in the middle of the battery cable, and that has to be connected. The plugs were held together with a zip tie on mine, and tucked out of sight. There needs to be a change in the manual, or maybe a nice, yellow instruction tag attached to the connectors.

Nice Unit

Good product for good value. Looking forward to using it. Product came fully assembled except for wheels. The instruction / owner manual did not identify some of the tool aids sent with the unit. Fastening the footings was a challenge because the threading in the threaded hole on the frame was not exactly matching the bolt, so I had to muscle it a bit. Programing the remote was simple and easy. Overall satisfied so far.

Just what I wanted

Bought in September and it works very well. Easy push-button start after toggling the gasoline feed to get it flowing. Easy restart several times. like the dual fuel capability. one switch to turn to switch fuel. Nice size and good design with built-in handle to lift one side off resting arms in order to move on large wheels. Happy that it has a pull start backup.

Solid construction, easy assembly, and started right away.

After being out of power for at least 5 days three times in the last four years, I decided (or, rather, my wife told me) it was time to buy a generator. The solidly constructed Westinghouse 7500 required easy, minor assembly (wheels and added oil) and, best of all, started immediately. Looking forward to out first power outage!

Quick start, easy operation and portability.

Electric start is so convenient, Both remote and push button starts. Dual choice of fuel, propane and gasoline will be very useful during emergency, prolong operating time by using both fuels if necessary. It's portable, handle bar and never flat wheels makes it easier for a 71 year old man like me to move the generator between usage and storage. I also trust the brand, I've used different Westinghouse appliances in my lifetime and found them very reliable, so I absolutely trust the Westinghouse brand

Very Nice Generator

Seems very well built with nice features and layout. Started right up on first attempt. Runs smooth and quieter than I expected. I docked the rating one star because one of the brackets for the wheels was welded on at an angle causing the wheel to be cockeyed. With a small amount of effort, I was able to bend it and drill out the axle hole so that it was better aligned.

Good product

Main reason I bought this generator was the dual fuel feature, since storage (and refueling) of gasoline isn't the best. The shipping box was sturdy and, unlike other reviews, it arrived in perfect condition. The minor installation (connect battery, stand & wheels) took less than 15 minutes. As soon as I put the oil, I connected an old LPG tank and gave it a go. Even though I don't see much use for it, I gave the wireless remote a try and it started the unit with no problem. I pressed the remote once, but the unit actually ran on the 3rd automatic attempt. (Completely understandable for a unit that had absolutely no gas/LPG on it prior to that). After letting it run for a few minutes, I connected to my house with the transfer switch and it had no problem running the load (including a good size fridge). The unit is very solid, but easy to move with the wheels (even on grass). The only feature that would make the unit better, would be displaying the load (watts) drained on the data center. While keeping track of running hours is great for maintenance purposes, voltage & frequency aren't particularly helpful once its running. (Other than to make sure it's generating enough). But watts would give the user information to reduce/increase the load, as well as get an idea of how long will the fuel last based on the specs - both more useful than volt/freq. Even though I have had the unit for only a month and only ran for a short testing time, I am very satisfied and glad I made the right decsion buying this unit.

Outstanding Features including Remote Start!

Purchased this after a storm and older and lower powered generator wouldn't start. Between the dual fuel, remote start feature, and of course the power of the unit, this purchase was a no brained and is powerful enough to support most of the home, and absolutely the essentials .

Great Generator

This generator is exactly what i needed to power my house during outages or have power in areas of my property where we don't have it run permanently. The ability to run it on both propane and gas allows me a lot of flexibility. I can run it indefinitely off our propane tank or off our RV propane tank when camping. Or with the gas option, take it anywhere I need to.
