Easy to use and Perfect for my family!

Got the wGen7500 and a transfer switch after losing power for a couple days during hurricane Florence. The 7500 is easy to use and and more than ample power to run my essentials during a power outage. The construction feels solid and everything sans the gasoline is provided. Had this generator up and running within 20 minutes of delivery. Ran a stress test hooked up to the transfer switch running the water heater, 2 refrigerators, overhead lights/fans, tv, router and a bunch of other things and the generator performed flawlessly. I'd recommend this generator to anyone without hesitation!

Too many issues

The generator was a huge disappointment. During a terrible winter storm where we lost electricity for hours our brand new generator wouldn't start. Neighbors with knowledge of small engines attempted to help but it wouldn't start no matter what was tried. Customer service attempted to help but said we needed to take it to a repair shop. They couldn't supply us with names of a repair shop because their computers were down. Fortunately it was under warranty so we were sent another generator which arrived today. This second generator the mounts for the front control panel were welded crooked so the panel does not mount flush to the frame. Also the tubular frame on top was significantly bent. We are extremely disappointed with the quality of workmanship.

Easy Peasy

I'm so happy to have a dual fuel generator. I use my generator for emergency power backup, so it's not used often. I'm tired of dealing with a gummed up carburetor and having old gasoline in the tank. Assembly was easy. Instructions are clear. Started right up. I hope to only use gasoline for extended power outages.

This is the best I found after a lot of compariso,

I bought this quite some time ago on sale , I don't need it yet but for the price I couldn't resist. Lost power today and went to hook this up for the first time and I can't get it to start. I called support and they are helping me out. I still have great belief in this product and I'm sure it's something simple

Easy set-up and start, smooth and even power

The generator controls are laid out clearly and easy to understand and use. The set-up was simple and easy to do. I use the generator primarily for back-up power during power outages, which happen several times a year, and can last for several days after a bad storm. On gasoline the generator started on the first pop after pushing the start button on the convenient wireless remote starter. After getting helpful information from a Westinghouse customer service technician, I connected it to my 500 gallon household propane tank. The generator started on the second pop after pushing the start button. The generator produces strong, steady, even power with no noticeable fluctuation. It runs smoothly and is quieter than the Generac generator it is replacing. Overall, I am very satisfied, and looking forward to years of reliable service.

experienced company-great product

so user friendly, the start system is very innovative, as a 55 yr. experienced heavy equipment mechanic, Listen up when I say " great product, great competitive price;" just what you would expect from a company that's been affiliated with Electrical Power Engineering forever! Never would consider any brand.

Excellent Choice for a Portable Home Generator

The unit is well built and has the power to run the home essentials during a power outage (I.e. lights, refrigerator, and hot water heater. If the load is managed, different load combinations can be obtained. In addition, the propane operation is very clean.

A amazing machine!

I bought this after spending 40 hours in the summer without power losing an entire refrigerator of food. This can't happen in the winter, and with this amazing generator it will not. Make the move and purchase this fantastic generator and give yourself a sense a ease the next time a major weather event is on it's way knowing you can handle an outage. Duel fuel for that extra protection!

EASY TO RUN UNIT

Had the unit for only 1 day so far and here are early comments: Pros: Assembly of wheels and 'feet' was very easy. Unit is pretty compact for the power output. Packaging was sufficient to protect unit under normal shipping conditions. Unit started first time with gas, haven't tried yet with LPG. Cons: To check oil level, you need to screw cap/dip stick on all the way to get correct reading, this usually means that you end up dripping oil. The noise level on spec sheet is 74dBA, I measured 92dBA @ 2' from unit, 81dBA @ 20' from unit, and 57dBA at 25' from unit and behind closed exterior type door while running on gas. The no load frequency was reading 63 hertz, this may drop under load. The user manual indicates that you have to connect the battery at the battery terminals, but they have changed design so all you need to do is connect two plugs together.
