This game can be played with 1-4 people. It is similar to the old Nintendo Mario games, or the old Wii Mario games where you go through different challenging worlds. The controls are easy to pick up, if not initially intuitive, and the storyline is innocent and cute. Each level takes only a few minutes, and they can stop easily between levels and pick up another day. This would be a great game for as young as 5, but even my teens love playing it with the 10 year old.

I really enjoy playing with my daughters it has badges they can wear to help out with the harder levels. Some of the levels are very difficult but like I said my daughters character can wear a badge that help make things easier like supper jumps and one hop on lava without taking damage they even have a additional blocks level to help them reach tricky hard to reach items. My youngest daughter 8yrs likes when Mario gets the wonder seeds . Mario also changes shape Elephant he becomes strong and whips the enemy with his trunk. Very entertaining. This game it awesome!

Had so much fun going through this game, the art style is colorful and playful. the music is as amazing as it always is. lots of great and inventive ideas for changing up the gameplay. My biggest gripe is if you’re playing with others sometimes the camera can be a bit wonky but overall a total blast to experience!

I haven’t liked any of the 2D mario’s since Super Mario World for the SNES, but I can say that this one took me straight back to the early 90s with all the things that made that game great plus much more. If you’ve ever liked any 2D mario game, this is the masterpiece amongst them.

We like playing this game with our 16yr old and 10 yr old boys. It’s nice that all 4 of us can play together. We like that there is not a timer per game where we can really work together to complete the level. The screen moves with the player in the lead so be careful is you are in the rear, you could die. However it is nice that all of the lives are combined and not per player. Really a team effort.

They gave Mario a spit and shine polish so to speak and it looks like the quality of the movie that came out recently, rather than the kind of choppy look from Super Mario Bros. Deluxe. Highly recommend this game to fellow Mario fans. Even if you don't have a lot of friends to play with, you can still play solo just fine. The plot isn't anything 'out there' for a Mario game, it sticks pretty true to the Mario style as well with some surprises as you go along. Some of my favorite new modes are from this game! I love the Elephant mode and the Hoppos so far. Well done Nintendo, keep it up!

Bought this game for my wife and I. We’ve been playing this game almost every day after work and it’s been an amazing add to our switch collection. We recently also bought Animal Crossing New Horizons and switch between the two after work. The game had amazing graphics and centers around the collection of wonder seeds. The different levels throughout the game are fun and have little side games as well that give the game great playability. Easy to catch on to quickly for new switch players as well. Highly recommend to anyone who is a fan of the Super Mario Brothers Franchise.
