If you have hip and back issues and you're a side sleeper, this mattress is perfect. Soft but has enough firmness to provide support where needed. But not so firm that arms or legs get numb during the night. My fitbit showed a huge improvement in sleep after the first night. Spend the money. You won't regret it.

A black mattress is perfection. It is thick and firm enough that I get a full, comfortable, generous nights sleep. It doesn't make me feel hot and the motion isolation is spot on. I have been sleeping on the mattress for a little over two weeks now. The first few days I noticed an immediate relief in my back pain. I have also woken up less because of being overly hot. You don't get hot, and it is an amazing perk. If you have another person in bed with you, any motion from one person can not be felt by the other. I will recommend this to anyone. I was apprehensive when it was delivered and I first laid on it because I was used to a 4” memory foam topper on my hybrid mattress. It felt very firm to me. First night I slightly elevated my head and knees with adjustable base and slept very well. No hip aches or shoulder pain. Very happy so far with this BeautyRest Black Series One!

I wake up in the morning, feeling fully rested I do not get hot or uncomfortable. It is worth the climb to my bed for a very good night rest and awesome back support with the pillow top.
