Unbelievable Picture Quality and Performance!
I recently purchased the MPG 491CQP QD-OLED, and I have to say, this monitor is an absolute game-changer! The QD-OLED technology truly brings vibrant colors, deep blacks, and exceptional contrast to life. Whether I'm gaming, watching movies, or working on creative projects, the picture quality is nothing short of stunning. The 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time make gaming feel smooth and responsive, with no ghosting or blur during fast action sequences. I’ve noticed a huge improvement in competitive games – I can react quicker and more accurately thanks to the ultra-fast refresh and incredibly sharp detail. The curved 49-inch screen is perfect for multi-tasking, providing a truly immersive experience that makes you feel like you're part of the action. The wide aspect ratio is also perfect for productivity – I can have multiple windows open side by side without feeling cramped. Setup was easy, and the monitor is sleek and stylish with minimal bezels, so it looks fantastic in my workspace. Plus, the HDR1000 support and color accuracy make it an excellent choice for content creators, especially if you're working with HDR video or photography. Overall, the MPG 491CQP QD-OLED is a top-tier monitor that offers an unparalleled viewing experience. It’s perfect for both gaming and creative work, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for the ultimate display!
Exceptional Monitor
Bought this monitor to replace a triple monitor setup of 1440p IPS monitors for gaming and productivity. Was really skeptical and on the fence about it at first as this monitor also has a 240hz model and the fear of OLED burn in. In the end, I decided to go with it realizing my current hardware won't be able to push that resolution to such high frames and there were burn in preventative/maintenance I was willing to put up with. And it was a great purchase! Picture quality and color is amazing even more so on HDR. Loaded up a game with a beautiful environment and I was so immersed. OLED care really isn't that bad or much of a hassle as a maintenance feature. Has a lot of features over its competition at a fraction of the price. I do console game occasionally, so PIP is great to keep it all in one spot. Hard to find content that can support the full resolution though, but that's not the fault of the monitor. For the price though, I don't think this can be beat by similar products on the market.
Amazing Oled Widescreen best in class
Amazing monitor way better than Samsung G9 or any other oled in this price range. With a 3 year full warranty that includes burn in coverage it was a no brainer to pick up 2 of these for my trading set up. I had a 4 monitor setup before and switched to 2 of these 49 inch oled widescreens. I absolutely love it. Picture is so crisp and clear colors are incredible. Highly recommended
Best Ultra wide under 1k!!
This monitor is everything you expect it to be! I wasn't sure how I would like playing games on a fullscreen ultra wide, but once you get used to it....you won't want to go back to a standard 27in screen. 10/10 would recommend for anyone looking at making the switch to an ultra wide monitor!!
Beautiful HUGE wide monitor
I have had this monitor for approximately 2 weeks now and it has been phenominal. It takes a bit of getting used to because it is so wide but the games I play look fantastic on it. It took a bit of tinkering to get it playing with everything the way I wanted to but I have not run into any snafus yet.
The best
Amazing monitor. I have tried many 2 monitor setups, always find something I don't like. I'm amazed how 1 big monitor is so much better than any combo of 2. Great colors. KVM switch is great. So much less clutter.
Simply Awesome!!
I bought the MSI 491CQP, and after a few weeks of real-world use, I'm genuinely impressed. Here's my take from a software developer's perspective. What I love Immersive, expansive workspace The ultrawide, curved panel lets me arrange IDEs, browser windows, and testing dashboards side by side without constant window juggling. It feels like I've got multiple screens in one. Productivity-focused multitasking With a wide canvas, flipping between tasks is natural. I can monitor builds, run tests, and reference docs all at once, which speeds up workflows. Clear visuals and readable text Colors look punchy and contrast is solid. Long coding sessions stay comfortable, and typography remains crisp across apps. Solid build and easy setup The monitor feels sturdy, setup was straightforward, and it sits with a clean desk footprint and decent cable management. Real-world usability Development workflow Efficiently side-by-side code editors, documentation, and browser tools. It's easy to compare changes, review code, and debug across multiple environments. Testing and QA Viewing test dashboards, logs, and guides simultaneously makes it quicker to spot issues and track progress. Bottom line If you're a software developer who wants a single, expansive display that can replace multiple windows for IDEs, websites, testing dashboards, and reference materials, the MSI 491CQP is a strong choice.
Great for Business Use
I didn't buy this to game. I use it for work/business. I have a 49” Samsung Odyssey at work, so I wanted an ultra wide for when I'm at home working. I can tell you, this is better than my LED Samsung Odyssey. The text is a little more clear and crisp. At first I thought about spending more and getting a Samsung. I have no regrets about buying this. In fact, what brought me here was that I'm buying another. If you work in a computer a lot and like having two or three screens, this is the way to go.
MSI 49" Monitor Review
Purchased this a few days ago as a primary gaming monitor. The curve of the monitor is perfect and make gaming feel immersive. The SDR and HDR look great, colors look great. the OLED care remember mi to take care of the monitor. Recommend this monitor.
Beware
While the monitor is great, visually amazing it doesn’t support competitive FPS like Battlefield 6 on large game modes such as conquest, red sec and break through. I experienced lag and slow movement while playing. Game modes such as team death match and domination, the gameplay was much smoother but did have some Hz drop off but not enough to mind it but notice it. Games like Helldivers 2 was very smooth as well.
