Very well designed and easy to use. We use it at a lake with many stairs from the road to the cabin. Using a variety of bungees we haul luggage, firewood and groceries in a plastic container.

A bit of learning the ins and outs of handling different sized loads and momentum/balance tricks, but the only way to do that is by experiencing it. It does do what it claims, goes up and down stairs. Husband has chemotherapy induced fatigue and weakness, I've had back surgery - so this has helped us with many tasks including getting laundry down to the basement and back up the the second floor bedroom! Sam's Club pricing was well worth it.

My wife and I were taking a 92 pounds empty four drawer metal file cabinet down our upper staircase. The file cabinet was empty. While taking it down the right side handle busted off in my hand. This was the 1st time using this hand truck. Thank God the other handle did not break with the additional weight shifted to that handle. My wife and the four drawer file cabinet would have both tumbled down the stairs..... Do not buy this item it is extremely dangerous. If this was being purchased for very light weight duty or for someone having difficulty negotiating stairs I could see where this would work but when they listed for 200 pounds I would not have my worst of friends take a recommendation to use this hand truck it is extremely dangerous

I ordered this and received with a broken handle. Sam's shipped a new one to replace it. First time I used it, the handle, which is made of plastic, broke right off in my hand. It is complete junk. Do not even consider buying. You will be sorry
