Perfect 'dolly' for around the house!

First off, the design is ingenuous. Folds flat and rests against the wall, out of the way. Easy open and close, walks up and down stairs when needed. Lightweight, easy to maneuver. Will be it during the spring time moving mulch and bark bags to various parts of our property.

Great for stair climbing!

I recently moved 3500 sq.ft. of house and this really came in handy! The handles could be more sturdy but going up and down the stairs with heavy boxes was fairly easy with the UpCart.

Handles the stairs nicely

Petty good dolly for the price. The footplate that holds the item carried is a bit on the short side. The handles are rickety but seem to be getting the job done. One set of wheels fell off on the second use because there was no bolt to secure them. However, Upcart support sent me the bolt and a spare. It only took a week to get the part.

Loved the item once I fixed the telescoping adjustable handle that was mangled in shipping. This product was shipped by manufacturer in a flimsy lightweight box 4 times larger than the item without one iota of packing material. By the time of delivery the box was so damaged and tape had loosened everywhere I was shocked Fed-X even accepted this item for delivery. Works great on hauling items too heavy to carry up and down stairs. Mine however can never lower the handle to adjust for my heighth due to its bent up condition. I do love the way wheels fold inward and plate moves uo to store flat against a closet wall. I use this item weekly and if you buy one.... be sure you get it from a store in it's original carton.

Not that great

Handle very hard to get to move. Once I figured out where I wanted it I kept it there. It's a little clumsy and easy for the wheels to fold up and collapse. I just use it to get the trash bags to be curb. It hangs on the wall the rest of the week. I probably wouldn't recommend it for much else. Little expensive but I needed something and when it's on the wall it doesn't take up room. I was going to exchange it for one that the handle works smoother but they're sold out. Hasn't snowed yet so not sure if it will be of use in the winter.

Recommended - but be advised

Uh-oh. A career mechanical systems design engineer bought one of these...and was asked to (candidly & honestly) review the product. :-) Okie dokey - here we go. Written in a “conversational tone”; please read it that way. The dolly is well built on the lower end - meaning the fold down platform (nose plate) and wheels/wheel fold-out assemblies. The top end of the telescoping handle and the push button handle extension release mechanism are the (very) weak links in the design and construction of this dolly. I love the concept and have wanted one of these since I first saw one advertised on TV a few years ago. I finally found one for sale retail and hopped on it (not literally). The handle extension release detent mechanism does not release the detent dogs easily at all. Excessive pressure on the button (on the unit I bought) was required to make it work. It might be okay if it was liberally lubed with 3in1 or WD40 but that could end up a pretty messy proposition. A quick shot at each telescope joint and ball detent point may be okay if it were done frequently and then kept wiped down. Two things to say about that: 1) my other more standard folding dolly doesn't have that issue; 2) I am going to beef up my handle and in so doing, will disable that feature - so for me, it's moot. For others? Conditionally not - but read on. Is the weak execution of the design concept a deal breaker on this? No, I don't think so, and this is why. The principal thing to consider in this caveat is the advertised capacity and what most owners will use the dolly for. This is not a furniture dolly. A 50# box of (whatever) or similar - like a flat of water bottles or a banker's box or two of papers and a brief case - or that which would be more easily dollied up the stars vice carrying it...great idea and much safer. The 200# capacity might be real - if you only wanted to use the unit once - and not try to drag it up a flight of stairs - and definitely not try to negotiate a landing. If you loaded it to even 50% of that amount intending to take the load down stairs? Suffice to heed my warning: don't do it. I can very safely say that given the construction of the handle of this device, you don't have enough upper body strength nor lead in your keester to not have it get unwieldy and give the sense it was about to drag you a part of the way down. My first and only pre-modification use was a low center of gravity 80# load. A flat of 1/2 litre water bottles and a 24 can case of beer. 80# of the 200# capacity. With that load, the dolly was over-loaded. Period. Not open for debate. Not because of the stair climbing wheels and the lower end but because the frail upper end of the handle has so much flex in it at that point of loading and pulling on it to gain the mechanical advantage of the handle to tilt the unit back that I thought it was going to break just getting the load elevated (tilted back) to move...across the parking lot...then I started up the stairs...turning 180*at the 2nd floor and again on the landing between floors 2 & 3. Now, I'm a strong guy and have enough ballast at 6'2/275# and this was flat-out and undeniably too heavy for this device. Objectively, it wouldn't have been for my standard duty 2wheeler because of the rigidity of the handle and it pivots on two wheels, not four. But it doesn't “climb”. The only other critique I have for this design is the ability to steer it with a heavier load on it. When it is pulled back to move, there are two hard plastic wheels on each side in contact with the surface of the floor/sidewalk/stair landing. When you are trying to turn the loaded dolly in a tight radius like on a landing, two of those wheels are being scraped around and not really turning in unison with the others. To do that, it takes more power applied to...you guessed it...the weak or frail top end of the handle. So, bottom line. Recommended or not? Yes, absolutely. But don't allow the 200# capacity lead your purchasing decision. Only my opinion.

Button To Collapse Handle Sticks

I have been using an UpCart Lift for about a year. I own a vending machine business which requires lifting product up stairs so this cart works very well for that purpose. For the most part I really love this cart. It is light weight and easy to transport. But it has ONE HUGE flaw. The button to collapse or expand the handle sticks and is hard to press. Not sure why the manufacturer isn't finding a better solution. I just purchased a new unit because some of the screws on my old unit are constantly getting loose or worse stripped. Upon first use it stuck in the expanded position. I have tried everything to collapse it but have been unsuccessful, hence the 1 star rating. I will be returning to Sam's Club this week.

Good Idea bad materials very bad cart

Very Bad Manufacturing. Attempted to operate and then use it. It did not perform, It does not come to a full operational position even if extra effort is expended. The Wheels' Triangular frame never open and/or stabilized and "locked" into a workable position ( 90deg or slightly greater vs the handle frame). The handle was very awkward to height adjust, and difficult to press to yellow release button I recommend to try it at the Store before purchase, for work-ability and operation-ability thank you

Poorly made!

I purchased 4 of these for work. Planned to carry approximately 45 lbs. total on each. 3 of them a wheel fell off, 1 before first use as my employee was opening it for use. The other 2 fell apart on first use. One of them the handle wouldn't collapse after it was opened and the wheel set fell off.
