[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this gazebo about 5-6 months ago. I put it together myself with help from family. Be patient with the installation. Take your time and follow the directions exactly and things will work out well. The gazebo looks great and is sturdy. I've had it up now several months and it is hasn't moved at all and I live in a very windy area. This gazebo really solved a problem for us - we couldn't use our back patio in the summer because of the direct sunshine. Now we can use the patio year round.

Bought this from Sam’s Club a few months ago to put on our back patio. The size is perfect. The quality of the wood and the engineering is outstanding. It’s not a simple assembly, but if you’re familiar with hand tools and have a friend or 2, it can be done in a day or two.

We purchased in the fall and it has held up very well in the harsh winter months and withstood 60mph winds like a champ in strong storms this spring. We get a lot of wind where we live and I am very pleased in how well it has held up. It's ready for our fireplace install and new furniture this spring.

We purchased our Cordova Gazebo almost a year ago and it truly has sustained our Colorado winds, our most recent winter heavy snow. Even our most recent heavy rains without any problems at all. It was absolutely one of our better purchases and wish we had purchased it sooner. My husband Rick, our son and our neighbor all helped with putting the roof on as it did need 3 people. The lower part of 4 posts and sides my husband pretty much did it himself with an extra ladder. He’s very creative! So the roof was the part that did require the assistance of a few more hands. We enjoy using our new outdoor space for many outside events in our yard day or night. It looks beautiful. We did hang lights for sitting outside in our cool Colorado evenings. My husband and I enjoy just sitting under it in the morning drinking our coffee. My sister and her husband were so impressed with our Gazebo that they are ordering one for themselves. So we would highly recommend this purchase to anyone considering purchasing or having one built. It is a great price, quality is 5 star.

We purchased this gazebo 9 months ago and chose to put it up ourselves. Shortly after receiving it we had to move out of our home due to slab leak repairs in our kitchen. We were finally able to put it together and it was a fun and challenging project. The instructions are very clear, however you need to be somewhat mechanically inclined. It’s a beautiful gazebo and a wonderful addition to our backyard. Having electricity is a nice touch too. We plan to install a ceiling fan. We’re looking forward to many family gatherings and coffee chats.

Bought the gazebo last spring and enjoyed it all summer. Fast forward to spring 2025 and a EF2s tornado came through. Uprooted all our large oak and hickory trees but our gazebo stood tall and strong. Not a scratch. I can't reccommend this product enough.

I was impressed that all the pieces were marked and the directions were easy to follow. I would buy other products form Backyard Discovery.

The directions were clear and detailed. We have received many compliments on its appearance from our friends and neighbors. We are very pleased with the price compared to hiring someone to build one from scratch. We highly recommend this kit.

Very well crafted and holds up to the crazy winds we experience. We live up on a bluff and have never been able to have any additional outdoor structures due to the tremendous wind; however, this gazebo stands solid and we couldn’t be more pleased with our purchase.

Backyard Discovery 14’ x 10’ Cordova Gazebo Review This is a well-designed and organized kit for simple construction with minimal experience. It is packaged and labeled well. The instructions are clear except for a couple of places I’ll note below. Delivery: The order arrived in Houston about a week before the estimated delivery date but was not delivered to us until a week after the estimated delivery date. The packages were all in good condition. They are heavy to move around. Assistance & Assembly Time: I was able to do the assembly completely by myself except for two times I needed a few assistants for about ½ hour each time. [Step 7 (Attach 14-ft beams to posts with 10-ft beams attached), Step 12 (Installing roof support), and Step 30-35 (Attach roof panels).] It is a lot of bending over, moving parts, and using a drill to install connectors. I worked on it for about 5 days for about 4 hours each day. Tools: It would help if the Screw Setter H100764 was magnetic to hold screws while lining up with the holes. A hammer drill and 3/16” hammer drill bit are needed for installation on a concrete slab. I used firring strips as spacers between roof panels during construction so they could lay on top of each other during assembly. Positioning: Layout and mark final post positions. We put the gazebo next to our house with a 6” gap between the house gutter and the gazebo roof edge. This was barely enough to pass the roof section up between the gap and took some extra hands to support this during installation. It also made installing the Corner Ridge Cap in Step 40 difficult as this is intended to slide onto Ridge Cap Channel from the bottom. We used pliers to bend open the Corner Ridge Cap on one side to allow this to clip over the Ridge Cap Channel and then bend back in place as best as possible before sliding into position. Assembly Notes: Recommend doing Step 9-11 before Step 7-8 so assistants can help with Step 7 and Step 12 at the same time. I did all roof panel framing before attaching sheeting. (Step 14-18 twice, Step 22-26 twice, then Step 19-21 twice and Step 27-29 twice.) IMPORTANT NOTES: Step 20 & 28 Ridge Cap Channel Assembly – Ensure the bottom end of the channel is above the bottom roof joist to allow space for installation of the Edge Trim Corner Splice in Step 38. THIS IS NOT MENTOINED IN THE INSTRUCTIONS. Step 38 Edge Trim Corner Splice Assembly – Ensure Edge Trim Corner Splice is UNDER the Ridge Cap Channel. THIS IS NOT CLEAR IN THE INSTRUCTIONS. This is needed to allow installation of the Corner Ridge Cap in Step 40.
