It took my wife and I 5 weeks to assemble, but we worked on it a leisurely pace. It's a good bit of work to put together but it came out really nice. Power tools are HIGHLY recommended, and you have to use your common sense as the instructions are a little fuzzy in certain steps. But overall a good experience and the end product is great/

Bought this in the summer and couldn’t be happier with the result! It was so great to have this during the hottest months in Texas to cool off, as well as more recently during the rainy days to keep my patio area dry, especially with two little doggies who love it as well! We wrapped it in lights thanks to the plug it comes with, which made it easy to have the electrical access and the lights make my backyard so fun and homey!! Thank you Backyard Discovery!!

I will add I do have good construction/ wood working skills. I was able to get help of one or two people as needed. We are proud of the results and many of my neighbors are also impressed. We would strongly recommend this product.

We bought our 16 x12 gazebo last spring. The installer showed up promptly and had the job done including clean up by 6pm the same day. We have had quite a few gatherings and everyone has been amazed with the look, quality and price of this product. And I love the fact that no Wisconsin weather can ever blow this to the ground like the last two home improvement store gazebos we purchased. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased a 16 x 12 gazebo; it was delivered in 6 well packed boxes; most holes were pre-drilled (accurately); hardware was first class and extra pieces were included for most items; everything was well marked; the instruction book was well designed and easy to follow; even came with an electrical panel; everything went together nicely and assembly was easy. I would recommend this item to anyone.

Nice precut unit they have it figured out very well, if you build it yourself pay a lot of attention to the instruction as they are written. When they show you those high lighted instruction in red don't blow them off it will hurt you at the final step. Customer service was very helpful had a few pieces that had warps and they sent new ones right away. We bought a 12x20 and it has a lot of parts and big panels so have at least 3 to 4 people it sure makes it easy. We give it a 4 star because they have no 4.5 can't give it a 5 some of the instruction can be a little bit of a head scratcher and the film on the trim is super hard to get off so start early on working it off. All in all very happy with Gazebo it will surely be enjoyed by the family, material is good quality and packaging was very professional.

We bought this a month ago and my husband put it together and kept on commenting that this a great assembly and the wood and pieces are top quality. I helped with putting on the roof until we got to the 14 ft panels and enlisted help from our 21 year old dog sitter, who is tall and strong. I shopped for gazebos for 6 months before deciding on this. We received prompt and quality service. Never been happier with our decision! Thank you! It will last out lifetimes...

I’m glad I purchased this gazebo. It was tedious to put all of the parts together and I only had problems with a few parts. I had to really clean the pre drilled holes in the posts. The first few times I tried to put the bolts and nuts through, I kept catching some residual saw dust. I only had problems with the posts though. I did like that an app was available to look at the pictures a little better. The app and paper directions do not match completely. I primarily used the paper copy. I watched several videos on cedar gazebos like this one and I did not appreciate the difference between the Backyard Discovery Gazebo and the Yardistry Gazebo until I put the roof on with help. Backyard Discovery uses a frame to attach the roof panels to and the videos for other cedar gazebos do not have a frame. The benefit is evident when placing the roof panels. We put up one at a time instead of trying to hold up three panels before bolting them together. It came together so much easier than the videos. I purchased the Backyard Discovery Gazebo because of the look and the anchor plates. We get a lot of wind in my back yard sometimes and I didn’t want to worry about it during a wind storm. I wanted to use the biggest concrete anchors that would fit in the pre drilled holes. The wind ratings and snow loads were higher than other products. I’m very happy with how it turned out. I only finished it two weeks ago. I’m not going to disclose how long it took me to put together because I was doing it by myself for the most part except for installing the beams between the posts and the roof. It seems very solid and it is attractive which are my main concerns.

We’re so happy we purchased this particular cedar gazebo. It is beautiful and sturdy. We chose this one for its durability and the ability of the steel roof to handle snow accumulation. Our GoConfigure two-man crew completed assembly in just four hours!! They were very knowledgeable and professional. This gazebo is a backyard statement- very inviting and the cedar smells wonderful. We are totally satisfied with our purchase. It’s our new three season hang-out space!
