Works fine

This pressure washer works great and starts without any problem. 3200 psi is plenty of power for my driveway. 50' hose was long enough to put the pressure washer on the grass so it won't move and keeping it clean. The only issue I have is that the engine backfires after shutting it off. I called Simpson customer service asking if this is common issue and how to troubleshoot without having to return it. The person was not helpful (kind of rude) and just mentioned that I need to send it in for service. I researched the issue and was able to resolve it.

frustrating experience

I purchased this unit at the local Sam's Club. . Assembly and start up was easy. But, the first time that I used it (about a 30 minute test run) the engine stalled when I stopped spraying the water. Then when I tried to pull start the engine it would not turn over without relieving the pressure in the hose. Quirky, but understood. The second time that I used it, (about two hours) the engine would stall when I stopped spraying, changing hands or positions. Finally, I tried to relieve the pressure on the hose and then pull start the engine, which would sputter and die before I could get the water spraying again. A bystander offered to hold the trigger open while I pull started the engine. That was the 'last straw' for me. A pressure washer is not a 2 person operation. Now compare that unit to my retired one (also from Sam's Club) which is about 25 yrs old, pump & motor run well although the motor leaks oil now. The new unit, I returned to Sam's Club yesterday and am on the search for another new unit.

Great Power Washer!

I purchased this Power Washer to replace an older model; my previous Power Washer held up for about 18 years. This model has higher pressure and provides a greater volume of water than my previous model. This new Pressure Washer met all of my expectations. The various nozzles that come with the washer is a nice add. We have a large backyard with many entertainment surfaces that need regular cleaning....this washer did the trick and cleaning time is about 25% less. Recommended.

The good and the bad

Looks good, fold down handel is nice feature, cranks easily, long pressure hose, sprays well. (But, the designer should have tried a prototype before this went into production.) -Gas fill neck is in line with and tilted toward vertical tube handle making it awkward to fill. -Front tubular frame tilts back too far putting it in the way of tightening hose connections. -Pressure relief valve installed to spray on hot engine and pump. Had to reinstall it so spray missed engine. -Soap canisister is black, when a light color or clear would have been a big improvement so you could see the level. -Pull start was a bit awkward with frame and has to be pulled at an angle, or fish it out between engine and tube frame, then pull. -Engine shakes when on concrete. Moved to grass. Didn't expect that with Honda. Maybe a characteristic of horizontal shaft engine/pump? Never had that with previous Briggs and Stratton vertical shaft engine pressure washers.

Spend extra and buy new

I bought this refurbished. I expected more I guess. The oil had leaked out in the box. The 45* tip was stopped up and took me an hour to get unclogged. The handles weld broke the first day I used it. The motor and pump work great but I do not think the inspection department really takes pride in checking these refurbished equipment. I would not do it over.

Great Washer for the Price

Bought this MS60920 Simpson power washer on Customer Appreciation Day. Couldn't be happier. Don't understand all those that had problems. More power than any homeowner would need. Takes two hands to hold the wand. Right combination of pressure and volume to remove tough stains and algae and mold build up. Everything went together easily and performs better than I expected. Got mine on sale, but even at the regular price it is still a good deal.
