I have hesitated on buying new boots as our winters are fairly short but wickedly cold. I have had my eye on Muck brand boots, but dropping $190 on a pair of boots with questionable quality (cracks?) has delayed that decision. I purchased these for use in fall and winter. I am pleasantly surprised that my feet stay warm at -40 below while walking on the ice! If I am standing still for 45 min to an hour my feet start to get chilly, but with movement and wool socks they are perfect! The only problem, and not a flaw, is that the design keeps your feet dry but these boots can be difficult to get off (something to consider if you have mobility issues).
