Hi Winona, all of our Mayne decorative mail posts are designed to be installed over a pressure treated 4x4 wood post that is set into the ground either with concrete or our No-Dig Ground Screw. Once the 4x4 post is installed our decorative sleeve will slide over the post and the mailbox support arm then bolts into the 4x4 inside of the sleeve in order to support the mailbox.
