Our new gazebo has turned out to be the perfect gathering spot for coffee in the morning, pizza or barbecue on the weekends, or just for hanging out and enjoying our garden. Adding a few amenities to the already perfect and beautiful gazebo has made it even more enjoyable. We added shades to block the sunlight, string lights to light up the evenings, a speaker to listen to music, a hammock to nap, a fan with a light, a thermometer, and a bottle opener. Our desert oasis sits on top of decorative patio pavers. It was a great purchase and a wonderful addition to our back yard.

Let's be honest during this review. You will go to YouTube for advice, you will probably reach out to the vendor where the product was purchased, BUT this will be an EXTREMELY HONEST but brief review (from my personal experience). 1. Pleaseeeeeeee, have at LEAST (3) people to help if you opt to DIY. As an FYI, my husband only had myself (and the use of (3+) ladders) 2. Take your time, and don't skip steps. 3. Once completed... take the time to ENJOY your new space! We celebrated immediately with wine and cocktails. :) 4. This gazebo is BEAUTIFUL! It has changed the whole dynamic of your backyard. Even our neighbor (from across the street) had to tell us how nice it is! We are VERY HAPPY with this gazebo!

We got delivery in October and enjoyed it from the first day it was completed. My son, son-in-law, and a friend put it together. The parts are well marked making the build much easier than expected. Cedar is good quality making the Back Yard Discovery Gazebo a beautiful addition to our property. The only drawback is winter! 🥶 Can't wait until spring so we can get back to enjoying our Back Yard Discovery Gazebo!

This review is overdue by a month but I wanted to wait until I had the some other work around the pool area completed before I posted photos. Before I start, a local builder quoted me over $35K for a gazebo build – with a start date of fall of 2023. I searched online and Backyard Discovery had some great looking products. We selected the 16x12 Barrington Gazebo. First, the online purchasing experience easy and intuitive. (10/10) I selected the assembly option which is performed by a company called Go Configure (more on that later). Communication from Backyard Discovery was great and they were very clear and concise on delivery dates. (10/10) The actual delivery was performed exactly as promised and they even placed the boxes in my garage for safekeeping. The boxes are huge so unless you have helpers, I recommend you clear a space in your garage or other covered area in advance of delivery and have them put it there for you (if you can). Our driver was awesome and called in advance of delivery and then could not have been more pleasant and helpful. I wish I remembered the company to give them props. (10/10) Next, the assembly was scheduled through Go Configure. I read some pretty bad reviews online about them so I was worried. However, they scheduled the assembly a week or so after the gazebo was delivered and called me in advance to let me know a spot opened up earlier. I grabbed the opening. The folks at Go Configure were great with communication with both calls and texts. (10/10). The assembly team showed up as promised early on a Saturday. A team of 3 men were in the crew. They moved the enormous boxes to the assembly area from my garage and proceeded to unbox and set up. I looked out the window and in an hour or so the frame was up. In another hour a large portion of the roof was in place. In less than 4 hours they had completed the assembly. This team was outstanding. They were highly skilled and had done this many times before. I can't say enough good things about the team and my experience with Go Configure. We are in the DFW area, so we may just have a really great territory for the company. I can't say how it works in other regions but if you get the crew we got, it will be a flawless experience. They never stopped until the job was done and done way beyond my expectations. (10/10) We had a bunch of other expensive work done on our pool area before the gazebo went in but the amazing thing is that we are far more happy with the gazebo from Backyard Discovery than anything else done. I did put some pavers around the base supports to enhance the look a bit and installed a TV and ceiling fans but the gazebo construction made this a breeze. We get a ton of compliments and more importantly – a ton of use and enjoyment from the gazebo. Thank you Backyard Discovery and Go Configure for making this dream a reality. There is not one thing that could have been done better – truly flawless. By the way, this is not a paid review, we are a real family who randomly found Backyard Discovery online – I am as shocked as you may be that this went so perfectly.

I bought this a couple months ago and it took about 2 days to build and 3 people at times and wasn't too difficult. Love the power feature so we can add lights around it soon. It completes the back yard perfectly and provides shade at a reasonable price since patio covers are so high. Materials seem nice and sturdy and look quality.

I assembled the gazebo my self in about four days. The only help I required was from a friend installing the roof panels. I laid all parts out before hand and took inventory. Discovered I was a rafter board short. Called customer service, and was pleasantly surprised how easily the matter was resolved. Within 48 hours the missing board was delivered to my house. I enjoyed putting the gazebo up. Follow the instructions, very user friendly, and don't skip ahead . And do lay everything out before hand, makes it so much easier. Everything is marked.

I put almost all of this together by myself (54 yrs old), just putting the sections together over about 3 nights, then I assembled it all by myself on a Saturday, I did have to recruit help at the end, to assist in putting the roof sections on, the roof actually needs 3 people, we managed to do it with 2, the roof is definitely the hardest part of the assembly, but I highly suggest having help, be prepared it's not a 1 day simple project, it is fairly easy to assemble, it's just time consuming. if you want something that looks great and is sturdy, I highly recommend this gazebo.

I bought this because of the great reviews I read, all were good , now I am here to say that for the price of this pergola, I was highly disappointed that the posts are hollow and they used 2 pieces of wood GLUED together to make each side. Wow, mine sat outside until I got it put up, and every post started separating. I called and told them and they sent more posts, the bottom they put a solid piece in the opening to make it look solid but other end is wide open! I am very disappointed in the quality of this product, beware

Not impressed. Low quality lumber, low quality construction, 10 million fasteners and they can't use the same one twice! This isn't rated for the wind we get in Colorado so I'm wondering why they sell it?? Did this one for a client but will never do another. Will build one from scratch vs. these junk kits. Will be surprised if this is standing in 3 years.

Very poor design or should I say a genius designed it to rotten in 2-3 years so you come back for another one , the way they designed rain to go down it goes straight on the wooden beams so they are always wet and plus all the leaves stack up the drain causing the rottening speed up . Honestly I do not recommend it , the instructions are very hard to figure out as well . The worst in club purchase ever plush they damaged my car when loading it and it has been more than 3 months and no one is held responsible. Plus after I told them I do not wish to renew my membership they still did that without my permission . I am not able to upload pictures obviously websites sensors negative reviews and do not allow pictures.
