We bought this vacuum after finding on Honey that Sam's Club had the cheapest price of any online retailer. We have had the same Hoover vacuum for 8 years and I thought the suction may have faded, so we read the reviews about the Bissell CV and thought for $100, let's try it. I am so glad we did! After being vacuumed just a day earlier, our new Bissell CV got up a whole canister full of yuck. We have 2 short haired dogs and a 6 and 3 year old and the CV dominated our rugs and carpets. HIGHLY recommend this vacuum for the price.

i have 4 cats in a house with deep shag rugs and bare floors and this does what it says.....my house feels so much cleaner when i go over it with this vacuum and its so lightweight i can carry it up and down stairs easily in my old age ....i am blown away by how well this works 2 years later ...i might buy another one just in case this one ever breaks as a spare

Great vacuum

My Hoover died after 8 years. So I was looking at the more expensive vacuums, Dyson and Shark. I wanted a vacuum with the retractable cord and Dyson and Shark does not have one. So I took a chance on this inexpensive vacuum because it has the rewind cord. I must say it does a very good job on my carpet and suction is powerful. Very happy with my purchase.

Stopped working 2 months after purchase. Roller wouldn't move, vacuum smoking. Took roller off to see belt had burned into roller.
