The chocolate icing and cake itself did not taste good, tasted fake. I will not be buying this again.

We all loved the Yule Log! It tasted like a giant Swiss roll. We hope they continue to have them each year so we can start a tradition.

Loved the Christmas look of this cake and it tasted delicious! Please keep offering these every year. It saves me so much work in the kitchen!

Looks nice but the fake cream ruins it. If you haven't had a real Chocolate Yule Log before go try Fresh Market. It's twice the price and half the size but delicious.

Not at all as pictured. I was expecting something that was presentable for our Christmas table. Instead I got a dusted log. No lovely icing at all. I was in the store 2 days ago and saw them beautifully decorated and ordered one to picked up on Christmas Eve. I am terribly disappointed that I have to go home, make icing, and decorate it myself.

This cake is beautiful to look at, but the taste is lacking. The frosting in the center of the cake is very very bland. The cake itself is very good, but the frosting in the center ruins it. Just a little sweeting or flavor would make a huge difference. I cannot recommend this. We love Sam's cakes and the family was excited to try this, but it fell short. I gave it 3 stars mostly because of the presentation.

The description here and the label on the cake itself say that it has chocolate and vanilla buttercream. It says on the label that it's filled with buttercream. As the title says, that is a straight up lie. The inside is whipped cream, which I loathe. The cake is good, the exterior frosting is good, but the inside is gross. I would not have purchased this had I known.

Whipped cream, not buttercream frosting as promised. huge difference. it was incredibly bland and lacking flavor. the cake itself was just fine. I'm confident that if the usual Sam's buttercream was used for the filling it would have been a home run. will be buying our Christmas dessert from a local bakery at six times the cost - but worth it based on the whipped cream disaster.

The Member's Mark Chocolate Yule Log looks like it's about to do something special, but the flavor never really gets there. The cake is decent, not dry but not memorable either, and the filling is… there. Sweet, smooth, but kind of flat. Nothing offensive, nothing exciting. It's one of those desserts people eat because it's on the table, not because they're going back for seconds. Pretty presentation, average taste. Very “warehouse bakery holiday edition.” Pros: Looks festive and slices nicely Big enough for a crowd Gets the job done if you need dessert fast Cons: Flavor is forgettable Chocolate lacks depth More decoration than flavor Bottom line, if you need a last-minute holiday dessert and don't want to bake, it'll work. But if you're trying to impress? Keep shopping.
