I missed getting one of these last year and was so excited to see them again this season until I tasted it. It was not good at all. The cake part was very dry while the cream was thick and sticky, not creamy as you would expect. The chocolate was not very chocolaty and also not smooth and creamy as a normal frosting would be. Almost seemed stale but was eaten well within the “use by date” Definitely not worth the price. Will not buy it again.

In short, this isn't just a dessert—it's a Christmas tradition waiting to happen. Warning: may cause spontaneous joy, fork fights, and a suspiciously empty plate before dinner is over.

Creamy, moist cake. The buttercream on top was a bit sweet but overall, it was good!

Don’t waste your money. Zero favor and just around gross

So beautiful to look at but the taste was definitely lacking. The buttercream filling was tasteless and there was barely enough chocolate buttercream around the outside to taste. Gorgeous and impressive looking but just didn’t hit the spot for me in the taste-department. I would have preferred a Little Debbie Swiss cake roll over this.

The Yule Log was great. It was a beautiful work of art. It tasted great and Sam’s Club was one of the only places that carried a Yule Log.

The Yule log is decorated beautifully, great for gift giving for a dinner party. It tastes moist and delicious.
