[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked up the Dash Easy Fondue Maker in hopes of using it to melt chocolate. It did not disappoint! The actual pot is stainless steel that sits on a hot plate. I was able to dial in the correct number to keep it warm without burning the chocolate! Super impressed! I then decided to try one of the recipes that came with the Easy Fondue Maker, the French Onion Fondue! Now, I’ve never made fondue before but, I probably won’t again LOL. The flavor was good but I ruined it. The recipe doesn’t say to turn down or turn off the pot when adding the cheese. Crucial step! Thank you google! While it turned into a globby mess, it did make for a great cheese spread on toast. So it wasn’t a total fail. I may try the Queso next but we’ll see. I love that the Dash Easy Fondue Maker comes with 8 pokers and the holder on top. They give you everything you need to get the party started!! The only thing I found odd was the magnetic power cord. It doesn’t really click in so if you bump the pot, it will easily disconnect from the power. Aside from that I’m very impressed with the Easy Fondue Maker!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first time owning a fondue maker and let me say, I did not run out of things to melt in it. I am a big fan of putting melted cheese on my food and this was such a big help. Normally I like to double-boil chocolate and cheese, so this made it so much easier for me. I do not have to work with two pots and clean up is easy. We plugged this product in, followed the instructions and immediately added broken chocolate bars to the inside. We were hosting a party and thought the fondue maker would be the perfect gadget for chocolate covered fruits. We used strawberries, cherries, grapes, and even banana slices for the party. It seems everyone just gathered around the fondue maker and never left. After the party, I turned it off and began to clean. I was honestly expecting the process to be quite annoying but it was very easy. I was done with the overall cleanup in about 15 minutes. The next weekend I bought a loaf of French bread and a baguette. I thought about the fondue maker and had a blast. Lots of cheese, lots of bread. I absolutely love this thing!

I like that it has little stick holders for each of the pokers and that they have different colors on the ends to tell them apart. It took a little bit to warm up, but it worked well!

The fondue function works great, I love my chocolate dipped strawberries on a Saturday night. But when I want to try out the frying option for tempura, I found the pot to be too shallow for frying. Either way, worth a buy!

However, I find it a little confused to use when I turn the dial to a lower setting, sometimes it seems like not heating… Theres also some plastic burnt smell coming from the base. The smell gets a little better over time though. The auto shutoff function can be both good and bad. It will auto shutoff after it reaches certain temperature but then reheat again if you don’t shut it off. The plug is very loose, even a gentle touch can make it unplugged.

It was surprisingly super easy to clean- I dreaded the mess! Currently the most popular small appliance in my house!

It has plenty of space and heats well. Supposedly you can use it to cook in hot oil as well but we haven’t tried that yet.
