To tell the actual truth, I have never tried the product. I have ordered it twice and returned it twice without using it. The low rating is not for the product, but for the way Sam’s Club ships this item. The first time I ordered it, they shipping it in its retail box, which is just flimsy cardboard. It fell apart during shipping process and I guess the shipping company just taped the box without putting all the parts back in. I called Sam’s Club and told them what happened and that I did not want it shipped in the retail packaging. The refunded my money and even gave me a $15 gift card. When the second order arrived, the same thing happened. The box was all smashed because the retail packaging is not made to be shipped in. The box was all beat up and taped up and all the stuff inside just rattled around. I didn’t even open it and took it back to my local Sam’s. BEWARE THAT IF YOU ORDER THIS, THEY WILL SHIP IT IN THE RETAIL FLIMSY CARDBOARD BOX. This really bad if you are purchasing this as a gift, the box will be all beat up with shipping labels all over it. I would avoid ordering this online at all costs.

Made cheese and chocolate fondue and it was great

Terrible. Both items arrived broken with many missing parts. There was not even a pot in one of the boxes. Instead there were two heating units!

Very lightweight for something that stated was made of stainless steel. No lid included to keep food warm when not using.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ll start by saying that this fondue maker was extremely easy to use! The positives, definitely easy to set up and use, anyone could do it. Next, it comes with the little skewers and a nice insert for the top of the pot to hold them. It’s a great size, but feels compact making it nice to where it isn’t taking up much space but holds plenty of product. A few things to note that were on the negative side for me, first is the cord. The cord is magnetic, thus sounds nice but if you barely bump it the cord comes unplugged from the unit and you honestly may not even notice it. Next is how the hit plate has no bumper or edge to protect you from being burned if the pot isn’t on it. Basically you cannot move it once it’s on because there’s nothing to push or pull on. The last thing, I’m not sure if it’s good or bad, it would depend on the situation, but it gets hot fast! We used it at a birthday party, turned the hot plate on and went to open the nacho cheese can. This took a minute or two maybe, meanwhile the plate was on high. By the time we dumped in the cheese it was immediately boiling hot, so I’d suggest starting it low and turning it up as needed because you may not realize it’s SO hot. It’s an overall great unit and kept our cheese warm without burning it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fondue pot is the perfect addition to our charcuterie nights. It works well for creating cheese or chocolate to dip whatever you want in! It has plenty of space and heats well. Supposedly you can use it to cook in hot oil as well but we haven’t tried that yet.

We got it and used it for date night with another couple, it was so much fun being able to cook and make awesome little dishes with it. It was easy to set up, a bit smaller than expected but I think that was a good thing because it sat in the middle just perfectly. I would highly recommend for anyone who is into it or are looking to be.
