It is very firm and sturdy. Like that it is weather proof for outdoors. It would look great on a patio area.

Bought 4 chairs and my wife and I are really happy with this set. Construction of these chairs are a monobody with firms cushion made by Sunbrella. With these seats being deep the cushions are firm preventing you from sitting too far back or causing you to slouch; I'm 5'8". Cushion are sunbrella which is a reputable brand and will last for a long time. I looked around online and found these same chairs selling for $2,400 for two. They even come with chair covers... I know that sounds stupid, but it's a pet peeve when you spend a lot of money on somethings and covers are not provided.
