I have then installed on the SUV for a few years Winter driving. They are smooth, quiet, better stopping power on snow and ice, better traction gripping power to start off a lights. Very pleased with them, better than other cheaper snow tires I've had. Now bought and installed them on the car. They have a better tread design then my other old winter tires.

I purchased my first set of Michelin X-Ice snow tires in the autumn of 2014. I ran them each winter until last winter (2024), which was eleven years of use, and they still had usable tread, and were subsequently used for another vehicle. I purchased a new set this year (2025) because I was so impressed by their traction, performance, and lack of noise. They have tremendous grip in snow and ice. I try to avoid driving in snow, being retired, but sometimes for medical appointments and such, it cannot be avoided. I am so confident driving with these winter tires. They outperform the Michelin Primacy All-Season tires that I have, which are also impressive tires, and I am on my second set of them for a few years. You can't go wrong with Michelin. I would purchase no other brand.

I recently switched to Michelin X-Ice tires for my electric vehicle, and I couldn't be happier with the decision. From the first snowfall, these tires have delivered exactly what I was hoping for — confidence, control, and comfort. They handle beautifully in all winter conditions — whether it's icy back roads, slushy intersections, or packed snow. The traction is solid and predictable, and braking feels secure even in challenging situations. My EV's instant torque can be tough on tires in the winter, but the X-Ice grips so well that acceleration remains smooth and stable. Another big advantage is how quiet they are. Since EVs don't have engine noise, tire sound becomes more noticeable, and I was pleasantly surprised by how refined these feel on the road. They also seem to have low rolling resistance, so I haven't noticed any major impact on range. After several weeks of mixed winter driving, I can confidently say the Michelin X-Ice tires live up to their reputation. They provide excellent safety and comfort without sacrificing efficiency — exactly what an EV driver needs in a winter tire.

I used these on my 2020 Toyota Rav4 Limited Hybrid through 4 winters in New Brunswick, Canada. I know they were good, but was incredibly amazed New year's Eve of 2022 when I inadvertently when driving in freezing rain. I was on Route 2 divided highway heading east in the rain slowed down to 70km/hr when I crested a hill to see 3 tractor trailers pulled off the road with 4 way flashers going. I took the next exit and headed back home. Everything was coated in wet ice by that time, but my Michelin Xice Tires never loss grip! I remain impressed!!!

Great snow tires. These tires are prenominal in the ice a d snow. I have driven in white out conditions on ice with 4 to 5 inches of snow with no slipping at all. I had to drive through some snowbanks left by the plow and went through them with no issues.

Tire Performance Report — Real-World Observations Dry Road Performance: The tires perform well on dry roads, maintaining stability and predictable handling. They demonstrate excellent grip and directional control in both cold and mild temperatures. Wet Road Performance: On wet surfaces, the tires are unsatisfactory. There is noticeable lateral slippage, frequent activation of the vehicle's stability control system, and compromised grip, leading to reduced confidence during driving. Snow and Winter Conditions: In winter conditions, particularly on snow, the tires exhibit significant instability. During lane transitions, the rear axle tends to slide, causing repeated stability system interventions. The vehicle feels unsettled, and the tires fail to maintain a consistent trajectory. These tires are not recommended for use as winter tires in snowy conditions. Cornering and Handling: During turns, the tires provide poor lateral support. Both axles experience slippage, reducing the ability to maintain proper control. This effect is especially pronounced when moving from one rut to another. Inclines and Sloped Roads: On inclined or sloped surfaces at speeds as low as 20 km/h, the vehicle tends to drift off the road without corrective input, demonstrating a critical lack of directional stability. Overall Safety Assessment: Based on real-world driving experience, these tires are highly unsafe in wet, snowy, and sloped conditions. They may only be suitable for use in autumn and spring, on well-maintained roads. Extreme caution is recommended when operating under adverse conditions. These tires are not recommended. They are unsafe on the road, particularly in wet, snowy, or icy conditions. Seek alternative options for winter driving.

Excellent composed tire in the ice and snow at the beginning of winter. Very predictable at the limit of traction out of the corners in icy slushy conditions. Waiting to see how they perform in the snow this winter so I can compare with the Scandinavian brand I normally purchase for the past few winters.

I think these tires are perfect. I have RWD Cadillac, and my winter experience was awesome. It gives very nice control at mid snow depth, and still can let you our in high depth snow. It is a top brand, and it gives you exactly what you are expecting to get.

I purchased 4 X-ICE SNOW tires for our Volvo XC 60 We are very pleased with their performance. They are quiet, responsive and provide confident handling in snow and frozen road conditions. All as promised Our summer tires are Primacy, also, excellent Sizes are 235 / 60 / R18

This is my second set of X-ice tires for my F-150. I actually liked the performance of the first set, so I decided to get the latest version. I have to say I couldn't be less impressed by these tires. The overall traction, performance and durability of these tires is very poor. I have plenty of weight in the box to help with traction yet the truck wheels just spin in the slightest bit of snow and ice. Even though it's constantly in 4 x 4. I don't recommend this version of X-ice.
