Very satisfied with the Generac 24Kw whole house generator. We looked at other brands but for dependability and price the Generac was the best choice. DM Electrical and Construction was our chosen contractor and we were very pleased with them from start to finish.

My husband and I had the 22kw on our first home in Houston Texas after hurricane Ike. The 2nd one was installed on an acreage home in northern Iowa. In both scenarios I felt much more comforted knowing the Generac back-up was with us. We program ours to do checks once a month and it has never failed. Thank you, Generac!

Ordered this unit back in January after a brutally cold start to winter and a few blackouts! Just had it installed August 2021. Looks great and operates quietly. The techs were very professional and courteous. This generator will provide me and my family peace of mind, especially when our winter season begins.

Because our house was totally electric, the installation process was extended. We started on 06/07/2023 and finished on 07/25/2023. Some of the delay was with permits, and having to get ENTERGY to run a gas line and install a gas meter. The process of installing the controller, running the electric wires from the controller and generator to the breaker panel is an arduous process. Running the gas line from the meter to the generator was another involved process. Overall, we are pleased with the process and is now ready for the hurricane season, as that was the primary purpose of getting the generator.

A 3-man crew came to install a 14kW 200amp Generac Model 7225. The work of the crew was fascinating as I followed how each step of the installation was done in an orderly manner. There was stone decor around the home that the crew had to remove in order to access the main power as well as an area for the slab foundation to support the Generac. Once the outside work was done in these areas, the stones were replaced as though nothing was ever disturbed. Downstairs, the electrical cord from the Generac to the Transfer Switch was neatly installed along with the Transfer Switch Box and it's wiring set up. When everything was installed and checked over, the technician explained how the Backup System will work in the event of a power outage. He demonstrated the System by shutting off the main circuit as the lights went out, but within in few seconds we heard the Generac start up and the Transfer Switch kick in supplying power to the house as the lights came back on! After explaining what happened, the tech switched the main circuit back on as though the main power was restored from the electric company and we heard the click of the Transfer Switch shutting down the Generac. All this within seconds! Quite impressive in my opinion!! Thank you, Generac and the professional crew doing a beautiful job!

So wi fi is a great feature because I’m a widower and know nothing about motors. This way my phone will alert me to issues or maintenance needed so I can get a serviceman out to handle it for me. Generac has always been our brand to go to for generators etc. They are very reliable and dependable. Love it. The support group got me registered and a code for wi fi in no time at all. They were very friendly and polite. Services received means a lot to a person so Thank you for your kindness.

I had been looking at other backup generators and I got a quote from another brand.. They were $2500+ higher than the Generac 7209 and I got a bigger unit! 24K vs 20K Folks had it installed in a day and then next day we had an hour power disruption. Generator worked like a charm. Could not have been anymore pleased. Didn't have a problem with 3500ft home electrical needs.

Our 26KW generac was delivered and installed May 16th. It ran 3 test cycles and then we had a 90 minute power outage. We immediately noticed oil spillage all over our freshly poured concrete pad. We open the Generac and there was frsh oil all inside. We contacted our dealer and they diagnosed that the seal was improperly installed from the factory. A few later, the technician took everything apart and fix the issue during about 3 hours. We purposely ran the Generac for another hour to ensure there was no oil leakage. We accepted that there may a bit of residue. The machine ran other test cycle and there is oil spillage again. We are so disappointed that our machine seems to be a lemon and has endured this much work and it is barely 1 month old. Now what ? please help

We are in our seventies, retired, spoiled with our toys and acutely aware of our potential for health and accident issues. We live in a hurricane prone region. Although, the generator is new and a long term review would address reliability, these thoughts are provided. This generator provides whole house power allowing us to get rid of several devices such as portable generators, lighting and coolers stored/used during power outages. The phones work, CELs charge. We no longer have to buy ice, buy and store gas, move coolers, hook up lighting, wire the frig./freezer to a portable generator and the TV works. It is not only a power source, it is a reason to get rid of several potential safety related functions during outages that we no longer need to accomplish at our age.
