Swain Electric was easy to work with and took great lengths to get us the proper sign for our 2-story home. We wanted the Generac generator because of its recognizability and reliability. It took an extensive perior of time because the installed (no longer w/ Swain) did not pay attention to City requirements, but we are very pleased with the unit. It is placed out of sight and is actually quite quiet. Final hook-up and instructions on how to operate the unit went very smoothly. We were amazed how relatively easy it is to operate. It works as advertised. But, it is much louder than I ever expected. I do not understand why Generac can not come up with a way to muffle the exhaust. In that it is only used in emergencies, I can put up with the noise. I am not sure how my neighbors will feel about it.

Why did I wait so long. One hour after installation, we had a power failure. Generator kicked on and worked like a charm. The installation crew was great. Efficient, courteous, and explained installation every step of the way. Thank you so much.

Had installed in April 2020. Nice space saver. The automatic power switch is really an item that you need. In ten seconds after the power went out the lights were back on. When the power was restored, the switch from generator to line was so quick there was not even a flicker. The is a green light on the side of the generator that lets you know that all is well and the generator is ready to serv. I have not reached a maintenance cycle yet but, the manual indicates that it is pretty easy to service. When the light go out for an extended period of time you wish you would have installed a Generac system.

I have been wanting a home standby generator for years. We live in the country so when the power goes out it can be out for quite awhile. This is the best money we have ever spent. Works like a charm and so much quieter than the gasoline generator we used for years. No longer have to go out and start or fill up the tank. So convenient and makes life so much easier. Easy to connect to the Wi-Fi, download app and you are good to go Definitely would recommend. Do yourself a favor and get one you won’t regret it!!

While we have not had any power outages so far since installation, I am confident the Generac will provide peace of mind when it powers up to keep our home functioning during an outage. Starting and running 5 minutes each week is a confidence builder that it is ready to be put into use.

I had been taking gas cans and getting them filled to run a 6500 watt generator for years during power outages from hurricanes, When i read up on Generac whole house generators and talked to some friends that had them I was sold. When it was started up and tested for the first time yesterday it was a good feeling, The unit ran perfectly and ran all of the utilities in the house including the air conditioner. It is a nice looking unit and will serve my electrical needs for years.

Our Generac generator was just installed 5 days ago and today we had the ‘Run Through’. The generator runs perfectly! The generator installation was done by For-Tech Electric located in Lakewood, NJ. They took care of everything including getting the permits and scheduling the final inspections. I will forever sing For-Tech’s praises. Dave priced our unit out, Rachel kept us abreast with everything that needed to be done, and the guys that did the actual installation were excellent. (And speaking on Rachel, she is loyal to her employer to a fault. She is so good at what she does....so knowledgeable and just a wonderful person!) Thank you Generac and thank you For-Tech Electric!

Team arrived on site at the set date and time. They explained the entire process including the placement and power outage time. After the work was completeted, they explained his everything worked and went through a simulated power outage. Everything worked like a charm. The operation if the unit is virtually automatic. Everything in the house can operate with the generator running. Job well done, happy with my results!

Generac owner for 6 years. 7KW in Maine house and works in all weather hot and very cold! Bought a 22KW for daughter’s house and ii saved Christmas this year. Grinch closed the grid but in 10 seconds Christmas Tree was back on thanks to the 22KW. Just installed another 22KW in our new house and have the peace of mind the well will work as well as HVAC!
