Ok, here is my take on this for what it's worth. I believe owning a "speciality" machine like this is not everyone's cup of tea and for someone who has never made pasta before there will be a learning "curve" I started making pasta YEARS ago by hand and had a manual stainless steel roller and now? Well, I am older and have no desire to do anything that labor intensive so I tripped across this at my Sam's Club before Christmas and I could NOT pass it up! Making pasta is about "moisture to flour" ratio and if you know what to watch/look for this will be a God send and I can say if you wanna LEARN this is also a great machine for that but there is always trial and error......even for a "seasoned veteran" such as myself. I loved the pasta made in it and it performed exactly as expected and I have also used the juicer. Ah, the juicer.....LOVE IT but cleaning the screen cone can be a pain in the heinnie but, if you love fresh juice then this machine is WONDERFUL. I doubt I will ever use the "frozen dessert" feature and I have a KitchenAid grinder attachment so it's doubtful I will use this machine for that either but for pasta and juicing? I hit the jackpot. The motor seems very sufficient and today I had it on for quite a while juicing oranges. I hope this stands the test of time for me. I would recommend this only if you are tired of hand making pasta OR you really wanna learn because think about it, if you only have a fleeting interest then pass and go buy a box of pasta and juice......save yourself the frustration and cupboard or counter space. OH 1 more thing: THIS DOES NOT HAVE THE SLICER ATTACHMENT! And......beware, when first unboxing this thing it is in a word: OVERWHELMING! Talk about lots of pieces. If I hadn't had my KitchenAid attachments I would have gone dizzy understanding how to use some of the things in this box. For a "newbie" the instructions could have been a little more detailed as well. I hope this helps someone.......for me? I really am enjoying this but I can also understand some of the negative reviews. This will not be everyone's cup of tea for sure.

I don't understand the reviews that say this is a great pasta maker. After about TWO HOURS, I gave up. I followed the gluten free pasta recipe and instructions to the letter from the enclosed cookbook. It's important to note that the minimum cycle to make pasta is 15 minutes . When the pasta didn't extrude (come out) from the machine, I consulted the problem solving table which was confusing. The pasta wouldn't come out and the booklet says to add water. BUT the dough was also in large clumps which the booklet says to add more dry ingredients. First, I added a bit of water, which didn't work so then I added a some dry ingredients which then did help and pasta started to come out but only the center holes of the pasta shape disc. As the pasta came out, it would break off leaving me with little chunks of pasta clumps rather than the longer luxurious noodles I'd envisioned like I had when I attended a Learn to Make Pasta class. I restarted the process THREE more times thinking the dough was either too dry or too wet, only to have the same things happen. By this point, it was almost two hours and my hubby was starving. I tried to at least cook the pasta clumps, but they broke apart and become just tiny bits that almost filtered through the colander when drains. Since I purchased this to make my own low carb pasta as part of a Keto lifestyle, I really didn't care much for the other features for juicer,or meat grinder, but did like the ice cream option. Once cleaned up, it's getting returned. I don't have the time to make “quick pasta” with this thing.

This is advertised as coming with the meat grinder and frozen treat attachments. Both are missing and the box clearly states it is a 2in1. I feel like people are being duped into buying this great priced product but then you get it home and realize you got ripped off because it is missing half the merchandise. The product information clearly needs to be updated so people know this only does two of the functions it is advertised as doing.

Saw this awesome deal for $49.98, had to jump on it. I did it via store pickup. Got it home, checked out the box, its not the fancy deluxe model that is advertised, its just the regular model (2 in 1). Bummed about this deal, I looked again online and in the sale booklet and it specifically says the meat grinder and dessert attachments included. I checked the box again and noticed that there are nee bar code stickers over the bar codes on the box....they must have run out of the deluxe ones and are selling these for the same price. I headed to different store location and low and behold....1 last 4in 1 deluxe model. I scanned it...$49.98 as advertised. Now, I'm even happier that luck was on my side....and there was 1 last fancy one waiting for me. I returned the 1st one and can't wait to use it when I get home!!

Fantastic! I made linguini tonight and well, it did it for me! Mostly, what's easier then 2 scoops flour, salt and using its liquid measurement cup to make perfect pasta within 20 minutes from start to. I've also made strawberry sorbet and it was super easy. Love that your fixing foods without preservatives. It ran smooth and quiet. It did have a couple squeaks here and there but it could be due to not oiling the pasta disk as the instructions stated. (Noticed after) Clean up was a breeze as well. Highly recommend.

I have made my own pasta a handful of times. I was so excited to use this machine. It hadn't even pushed an inch of pasta out and all of a sudden i heard a loud pop and then a weird noise. I stopped the machine and opened it up. The inside piece that mixes and pushes the pasta out broke into three pieces. I returned it.

The pasta comes out too dry in my opinion, but it does make it fairly quickly. I have only been using the all purpose flour and may go try and find the special one to try it out with. I make fresh pasta by hand all the time and thought that maybe this was going to be a nice solution to the mess and time it takes to do by hand. I am excited to try the meat grinding aspect of it if nothing else and is one of the main reasons that I bought it, so I can make quick homemade sausage at the house. Will review or edit this once I try that feature out.

I would give this 5 stars but it requires a lot of assembling. It is definitely professional quality. The unit is heavy and the attachments are well made. I think after several uses I will be better at putting the different attachments on it. So far, I have made tagliatelle and frozen banana desert. This unit from SAMs comes with several of the "extras" that cost additional when buying from other sites. The recipe books (unlike others that came with other small appliances) have recipes I will actually use! I recommend this.

Easy to operate.

I have been wanting a pasta maker for a long time and have seen this pasta maker everywhere but thought it was a little too pricey but when I seen it on sale for $49.99 I could not pass it up especially since it could be used for different ways and all the attachments I watched the videos on YouTube and it was very easy to follow and very helpful and my first batch came out perfect and taste amazing definitely will be trying all the other features as well don't pass up this deal for $49.99
