I was so excited to get home and set this machine up. Started it, everything ran fine until we could smell the overwhelming smell of cat pee. I almost murdered Mr. Mimzy (my wife's Tom Cat) before I realized it was being released from our brand-new Humidifier. After researching humidifiers, it seems with use and mineral build up eventually this pungent odor is unavoidable but ours had this smell directly out of the box. Unfortunately, I'd rather wake up with a cardboard tongue than use this machine again. Can not recommend........

as of 1/8/2026, website/app says coverage for this unit is up to 750sqft. We ordered this product and set it up. While perusing the fine print in the instruction manual, way back on page 10 near Troubleshooting, it states its only designed for rooms up to 478sqft. MASSIVE difference when talking about a humidifier. Be warned.

What a lousy humidifier. We have a Levoit humidifier but it was only keeping our humidity level at about 25%. We wanted it closer to 30%. So we figured we would buy a humidifier with warm mist to it. We bought this Homedics . We keep it on the highest setting and we leave the warm mist turned on all the time. Now our humidity level is 20%. What a waste of money. I am attaching a picture of our two humidifiers next one another, the white one is the Levoit and it does not have a warm mist setting but you can see the difference in the output.

I really liked this humidifier until I filled it and was carrying by the handle back to the base and the handle broke off dumping almost a gallon of water onto my new rug and hardwood floor. Apparently my new rug is garbage because that instantly warped and is wavier than the Pacific Ocean. It took 7 bath towels to absorb the water. Thankfully I had a waterproof mat under the new rug so the floor is okay. Oh and when the reservoir fell, it shattered. So won't be using that anymore. And I'm pretty sure I ruined my vacuum. All in all, a real Tom %26 Jerry kind of day. Purchased on 11/24/25 broke 1/6/26. Not a lot of use out of it.

Purchased 2 Homedics Premium Warm %26 Cool Mist Ultrasonic Humidifiers on Saturday, 11/22/2025. Both units are working as promised. Homedics company did not do themselves any favors by installing a plastic handle. The only thing that I see thou far is the need for a more sturdy / secure handle. It's okay so far, but it requires 2 hands to transfer when full. It is best to place the unit where you wish and fill with a pitcher of filtered/distilled water. To see the water level, you need to remove the plastic top cover and do a visual check. There is no essential oil compartment. There is a sticker on the unit that says "Never add essential oil to the water tank". The unit is very quiet. Overall, I am very happy with both units.

Works well love the large water container makes it easy to fill and easy to clean.
