[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first lay down I said "what the heck did we buy?" - it was not soft. Then by the 5th night, I realized I hadn't woken up with back pain in 5 nights. We're a month in and I'm very happy! Takes time to adapt but it's fantastic- also when I sleep on my side, my hips don't burn! It's not too hot either which I worried it'd be.

We purchased two twin Xl mattresses, one firm for me and a soft one for my husband. I love a firm mattress and this one hasn't disappointing me. I really enjoy the adjustable base and from the first night of use I haven't experience any backaches. I do find that the soft one that my husband uses is a little too soft. He has had some back pain, which he had experienced long before buying the new mattress and I attribute it to the mattress being too soft. He loves the adjustable base as well. We have only had the mattress for under 3 weeks. We are still testing it and he might end up exchanging for a medium firmness but he isn't sure yet of what he will do. Buying from City furniture gives us the option for a small fee exchanging it for a different firmness.

I generally prefer a soft/medium mattress and my husband likes the bed on the firmer side. We got the Temper-ProAdapt in medium and have both been very comfortable. When you first lay on it, the mattress feels quite firm (to me) but gently forms to your body and feels very supportive. It doesn't feel like you are sinking into the mattress, it is still comfortable to move or turn. And it was immediately comfortable from the first night. It also seems to stay cooler than our last mattress, we both sleep warm so that is a huge plus. We've also experienced little to no movement transfer, neither of us stirs when the other gets into our out of bed, which is really important because we aren't always on the same schedule. I also really appreciate that the mattress is very light. I like to keep our sheets really tight, so I lift each corner of the mattress and it is SO much lighter than our old mattress. I've been a side sleeper for my whole life and try sleeping on my back from time to time because I hear it is better for us and this mattress is the most comfortable I've been sleeping on my back. The delivery process was easy to set up and the gentlemen who brought it were pleasant and professional. It's been a couple of weeks and we are loving our mattress!

Both wife and I have had multiple back surgeries and still suffer significantly with back pain. This mattress has made sleep for us a little easier. We both wish the queen size mattress and adjustable base were available in split configuration like king size are.

We absolutely love this bed! Prior to this we had bought a "memory foam" bed on line that was suppose to be amazing (little to no reviews, no one heard of it) and what ended up happening is, it was not good enough! I would get out of bed and my whole body ached! I thought, "I guess this is what old feels like" (I'm 30 years old). My husband stands on his feet all day and would complain of back pain, again we assumed it was being over weight and getting old (he's 33). To our surprise the bed was firmer than the show model and took some getting used to, maybe 5 nights. I immediately noticed a difference when I woke up and stood up from the bed, no pain, and no aches! I feel completely young again! My husband hasn't had back pain since! He has more energy now and we could not be happier! We would recommend this type of bed for everyone! There is a reason why they are the best and we now know, we cant put a price a good sleep! The mattress is comfortably soft but firm. The only reason I rated it as less than 5 stars is that it was almost impossible for us to find and copy the serial number so register we could register it. I am 78 years old and had to lift three different corners of the mattress to find the correct label while my wife stuck her head under the mattress and wrote it down. This was very stressful both physically and mentally.

Everyone needs a Tempur-Pedic mattress! As a Team USA figure skater, recovery is a HUGE part of my life. This includes proper amount of sleep. Before I was sleeping on a mattress that I had had since middle school. In the past year I had noticed that I was having trouble falling asleep, getting too hot while I slept, and waking up with a sore back or not feeling refreshed. As soon as I started sleeping on my Tempur-Pedic mattress I noticed that I had more energy in the morning, I didn't feel as sluggish. This mattress adapts and conforms to my unique weight, shape, and temperature. It's pretty amazing what a good quality mattress can do for your life!

Best night's sleep I have had in years. I had my first back surgery in 2013 and second in 2016. I have tried different, expensive mattresses and could not sleep without hurting. I slept in a recliner for a year. The firm mattress that I got wouldn't be for everyone but with my back I needed it. Everything else gave too much and caused my pain all over. The person that I bought it from was amazed that I adjusted to it so quickly. I would not sell my mattress to anyone. It's all mine!

The Pro Adapt soft is not what I would call soft. It is firm with a little hug to your body. Easy to turn over in. The cooling gel center doesn't really help a lot when having a hot flash, but the mattress doesn't sleep hot. We have only been sleeping on this for a month. My shoulder would hurt after sleeping, not any more. They tell us it will get softer. I think it will be 5 stars then.

We had a Tempur-Pedic about 20 years ago. We had to replace it due to some unforeseen medical issues. In the last 3 years we have purchased two other mattresses (bed in a box). We have now gone back to Tempur-Pedic and will NEVER stray again. Very comfortable, truly cannot feel each other flopping in the middle of the night. We love our Tempur-Pedic!!
