Initially, we thought the bed wasn't going to be comfortable--it's so different from a normal mattress. It can feel board-stiff when you first plop down on it, but that is easy to adapt to because once you're settled in for sleep, it's seriously the most comfortable mattress we've ever slept on. Those little annoyances in a regular mattress (like feeling like you're rolling into the middle when sleeping with your spouse, or the whole dang thing jiggles when she gets up at night) are 100% gone. If you can afford it, I highly, highly recommend. The one thing I don't like about it is that it can trap some serious heat. I sleep very hot, and even with the thermostat set to 64 F, I still sometimes wake up sweating. I should have bought the cooling mattress but it's more expensive.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered the adapt medium which was too soft for me and slept hot so I upgraded to pro adapt firm, it's A lot cooler and the sheets don't sink in and move around.. I noticed the beds do off-gas and need to air out for a few days. Final conclusion- the bed is outstanding it contours to your body the way it should and yes you can still sleep on your side. Tempur-Pedic kindly gave me this Tempur-ProAdapt Firm mattress for free so that I can review it. I have loved sleeping on this mattress. I normally toss and turn a lot at night because I can't get comfortable and I get really hot but this bed keeps me from sweating and I no longer wake up tossing and turning. I also have noticed that I don't have aches and pains when I wake up since I began sleeping on this bed, and I feel more rested. I really can't say enough good things about it. If you're in the market for a bed that will help keep you cool and comfortable while you sleep look no further than the Tempur-ProAdapt.

When combined with two Ergo Smart bases or Split ProAdapt mattresses (one Medium and the other Hybrid Medium) have virtually eliminated my hip pain and my wife's shoulder pain. The split between the mattresses has not been a problem as we sleep apart most of the night. The 2 Ergo Smart bases with Sleeptracker-AI provide additional benefits including automatic snoring head adjustment upwards which has reduced snoring but not eliminiated it as we have experienced. We would recommend this combination of mattresses and bases to others as we have already. A two happy customers.

The comfort level far surpasses any mattress that I've slept on or tried in recent years. It relieves the pressure points in my body overnight and I wake up feeling refreshed. You definitely fall asleep faster in my personal opinion. The only negative would be the price as they are quite expensive, but they will work with you to divide the payments.

I started complaining to Living Spaces where we bought it after a couple of months and was told it takes awhile to adapt and give it 3 months, then 6 months then sorry you'll have to take it up with Temperpedic Warranty Department. They told me how sorry to hear of my bad experience and to take a bunch of pictures and send in but if mattress didn't have 3/4 inch depression they would not replace it. Wear is uneven not that severe of depression but uneven wear all over mattress which leads me to believe support is not good. When we bought mattress I was lead to believe body heat made foam conform to body and then spring back. This is after less than 2 years and me being 165 pounds and my husband 195 pounds! We went and bought a Temperpedic pillow topper hoping that might help and it just shows big depression on both sides where we sleep. We took it off to get pictures of mattress and found the foam on the topper is cracked in several spots. No wonder we're not getting good support. I wonder if the inside of mattress shows the same deterioration! I wake up after a couple of hours with hip hurting and my shoulder had become extremely painful. I went to Orthopedic doctor and X-ray shows tendinitis in rotator cuff likely causing pain. Not doing any sports, lifting or consistent motion to cause this. My back pain is worse also. I wouldn't call that a real great nights sleep!!! .

Now that we have our new bed we are sleeping through the night which I haven't done in a long time! I greatly notice the increase in quality of sleep I am getting from my new mattress. My husband who has a bad back has also had significant improvement in just a few weeks and is in a lot less pain. Best purchase ever! Wish we had done it earlier!

This mattress is unbelievably comfortable and supportive. I highly recommend the hybrid! It has a very slight bounce which eliminates the sinking feeling of some Tempur-Pedic mattresses. I am a side sleeper with arthritis in my hips. I never wake with pain in my hips with this mattress. This is by far the best bed I've ever slept on. Absolutely worth every dollar I spent!

Never had such extreme pain in shoulders and hip with tingling in hands , waking up early morning hours such as 12:00 1:00am etc. Not sleeping waiting for our 30 days so we can exchange or get rid of it. Now we are waiting for soft pro adapt praying it will relief pain also purchase adjustable frame. Furniture store where we purchase does not refund how wonderful, so we had to go with another temper pedic. needless to say the expense is out of this world. Living on social security now this will hit us hard . well suck it up butter cup and learn from this experience never again! I google this problem was surprise to find I'm not alone with this discomfort . Just weird. My husband has no problem. I've started sleeping on our old mattress in another room which is strange after 43 years of marriage, and to my surprise the pain has eased up and back to normaL after four days. so I thought I give the bed another try and slept on husband side of bed , well the pain woke me up again and tingling in hands. Keep fingers cross peps that soft pro adapt will solve this problem should be here in another week they say.

Love the adjustable feature, especially if stuffy nose, neck sore etc. We bought a split king-it's nice to have separate adjustments for position. Does not sleep hot at all-temperature very consistent. Have only had for a few months but comfy immediately and has not dented/sunk. Takes no time at all to get comfortable. My neck has felt great since getting this bed. Cons: ordering process was chaotic. It took longer than expected without much communication. I'm kind of bony and don't move much in my sleep-the bed is so comfy I don't really move so my arms are both going numb if I sleep on my side. No problems in other beds. Also, split king is hard if you have small kids-someone ends up "in the crack" if they get in bed with you. The crack isn't terrible but I often wish we had gotten the king.
