I had high hopes for comfort for lower back pain and hip pain. I can't sleep on my side anymore, so I need a mattress that is comfortable for a back sleeper. My husband is primarily a side sleeper, and this works great for him, but I'll need one that is a little firmer. I also sweat every night, as memory foam tends to sleep hot.

I tore the sheets apart to find it was a Temper Pro Adapt mattress on an Ergo power base. It served us well all these years and was still in excellent condition; however, I wanted a new one with increased firmness. I like firm mattresses, and after 13 years, I decided we deserved a new one, and it would be another Tempur-Pedic. When our new one arrived, we gave our old one to my wife's twin sister who lives with us. She too loves it as we did. A Tempur-Pedic mattress is an investment in your wellbeing; it pays a daily dividend of a good night's sleep.

I went to a mattressfirm and tried nearly every bed they had on the lot and decided to go with the ProdAdapt Medium-Hybrid and I am very happy after a month. I have seen others say that the bed needs to be walked on and such, but I thought the bed was perfect out of the box. I tend to start my night on my back and end up on my side, and what I love most about this bed is how comfortable sleeping on your side is. I did not get the controlled platform base (yet) but my expectations are that will make my experience even greater with this bed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a Tepur Pedic mattress for 12 yrs and just upgraded to a king size. We tried another memory foam mattress (trying to save $$$) and ended up returning it. Once you sleep on a Tempur Pedic it's hard to switch to anything else. Originally we planned to get the soft version, but after testing out the different models in store we opted for the hybrid. We are both side sleepers and needed a "soft"mattress. For those looking for soft model I recommend testing this hybrid. It is actually very soft yet has the firmness for sitting or laying on the edge.

When my back and sciatic pain returned a few months ago, I knew it was time to replace my old Tempur-pedic mattress with a new one. It is very firm and yet molds to your body and you feel well rested after sleeping on it. I know all this Nasa research and engineering went into making this mattress, but all I really know is it provides the best sleep!
