Selected Tire

I have always been a user of Michelin tires. This time the Bridgestone winter Blizzak WS90 was recommended over a Michelin X-Ice tire. After driving on these tires for the past week I am very happy for this choice as they are very quiet and feel very comfortable in the ride. Am looking forward to their performance in snow conditions. Definitely recommend these tires.

Game changer

Got a new vehicle just at years end and decided to give the OEM all-season tires a chance. Prior vehicle was a 13 year old Subaru Legacy which did reasonably well with all seasons. Have had previous FWD vehicles and didn't feel trapped inside with the all seasons they had . Not the case here and the Blizzak WS90 saved the day. Had 2 storms come through and struggled to get up even the slightest incline and even go time on even grades was challenging. The experiment failed and Tire Rack came to the rescue. Got the new tires 3 days after order and locally installed the next. The Blizzak WS 90 is a game changer. Excellent traction on snow an ice, and no issues with icy intersections or inclines. So far most driving has been on snow/ ice covered conditions so will see what handling and noise is like on drive pavement, but so these tires do their job great. If at all on the fence about investing in Blizzak winter tires and / or the Tire Rack, don't be. Go for it

80s awesome tires

Got these Blizzak 80s tires for a winter trip to Texas Hill Country from Washington state. Took the long way there and back, 5k miles, and drove three thousand miles in Texas, largely on wet and dry chipseal roads. All driving to/from on dry roads except for a couple down pours, one in Twin Falls Idaho and another in Texas. While people were hydroplaning all around us and going off the road we were having full control of our car and kept on going. We never did see snow until our return driving through Portland, Or. Traffic was at a stand still and all snarled. We worked our way through traffic and the ruts and made it to Vancouver, Wa. Everything was fine til we got to our driveway. One hundred feet of 12" snow. Our Kia has 6" of ground clearance, if that. Plus, the street department bladed a berm, by now frozen snow, in front of our house. Got a run at the driveway and those tires clawed their way to our garage door. It was awesome. After I had the factory tires put back on, i measured the tread depth. Still had 3/4 tire ware left. After 8000 miles. Thats amazing. Well, the factory tires are worn off now at about 48,000 miles and Im putting those 80s back on for this Winter. We get a lot of slippery wet year around driving that sends cars through intersections, off corners and into other vehicles, even when driving careful. We also get Winter freezing rain. These 80s are magic for traction when driving defensively for the conditions.

Best Choice for winter driving

Been driving with them for 3 seasons , very happy about their overall performance. -Drove with ease trough deep snow. -Felt comfortable and confident on icy roads, despite driving a AWD vehicle. Just wish they could last a little more , but i understand that the effective rubber compound can't last much due to the softness. I am definitely buying these again for my SUV.

These Blizzak WS90 Tires are the best winter traction tires

We had Blizzak tires on our previous Honda Civic about 9 years ago and really liked them. Now we recently purchased these Blizzak WS90's from our Honda Dealership and we really like the way they stick to the road. Would recommend these winter traction tires.

Blizzak WS90

These are amazing winter tires, I have owned multiple sets of Blizzaks ever since the the mid 2000's, I tried a set of Michelin X-ICE and they didn't come close to the performance of the Blizzak tires , I won't buy anything else and I am constantly promoting them to customers and friends. I am constantly amazed at how well they grip on icy roads. I won't buy anything other than a Bridgestone Blizzak winter tire.

These things are a godsend

Look. I've summited a mountain in 2-3 feet of fresh snow, can drive as fast as I want on 95% of the roads, and am almost always in control. These tires are crazy good. Any snowy road becomes a rally stage. Threshold-braking on these is amazing. Actually being able to throw weight around my car is amazing. After toying around with these for a season, I'd recommend running a lower tire pressure than what it says for just around town and backroad use. Pros: Crazy good. Easy-to-control slides. Grips when you need it and lets them spin when you want to have some fun. These tires truly made me understand just how good snow tires can be. Blizzaks + STI AWD tech is truly a masterpiece. Cons: durability is the primary concern but that's inherent with snow tires. These probably won't last me much longer than this season, but I do a lot of dumb stuff, so that just makes sense. These grip so much that its hard to get it sideways when I'm not really trying to. Just buy these. Whether you want to slide everywhere or just drive safely, they're amazing all arounders in snow.

Blizzak WS90

So far the tires are preforming well in wet, heavy snow. The Bridgestone website to obtain the rebate is VERY glitchy, requiring an abundance of time and persistence. Don't count on this if this was an incentive to buy Bridgestone .... I will be surprised if the credit arrives by mail as indicated in 10 to 12 weeks.

Best winter tires

I have had studded tires and other brands of tires the tire shops have talked me into...but I have been disappointed. I always go back to blizzack winter tires and have great traction on snow and ice with no sliding. They are not noisy and driving feels great on dry road and especially winter conditions. I will never get talked into another brand again!

Blizzak WS 90 in Buffalo Lake Effect Snow

Buffalo, New York tested. I purchased the Blizzak WS 90's just as we were getting hit with 5' of snow. I installed them just in time since I purchased them mounted on rims. I always run snow tires here. They have saved me many times. We really do get snow measured in feet at a time. 5 feet this time where I work. Only 8 inches at my house, 18 miles from work. Lake effect snow hits us in narrow bands so that we can go from bare pavement to full on white out conditions in a matter of miles. We need to be prepared here for winter at a moment's notice. I have had Blizzak's before and they have performed. The difference with these WS 90's is that they are so quiet and well balanced. They don't whine, grind and thump the way some other snow tires have done. They went well in deep snow, on hard pack and in the salted wet slippery type snow. So far so good, with 2,000 miles on them. About 1,500 miles driven in snow and the rest on bare pavement. I have no information on durability since they are new to me.
