Organic Mattress at a Fabulous Price.
I recently purchased this organic latex hybrid mattress in a California King. This can be a difficult size of mattress to find so I was thrilled to see it as an option. My mattress arrived much sooner than expected. I let it air out and expand for a couple of days before sleeping on it. It is very comfortable and is firm enough to offer adequate support as a side sleeper without it being too unyielding for my hips. Motion transfer is minimal and my tossing and turning at night no longer disturbs my partner. I did need to purchase a new foundation on a separate website as Sam’s Club didn’t offer one. FYI, latex mattresses are too heavy to use with a traditional box spring so a platform bed or slatted foundation layer is required. I highly recommend this mattress.
Not 12", but also getting great sleep!
Overall super happy with this mattress. We got a king, it arrived late, but the wait was worth it. Reading some of the reviews I was a little confused as someone that is new to hybrid mattress. When you let them decompress, you need to give them space to do that. So male sure your sheets, bed frames, and furniture don't block them from decompressing or your mattress will look wonky. Keep in mind it has a layer of organic wool and that means its gonna compress and felt a little. So like its not gonna be 12", ours has stayed around 11" but you will always get they compression with organic fibers. I wish they added like 3" of wool, so the mattress would finish at 12". The mattress doesn't come with unboxing instructions. So like do you research on how to decompress these mattresses. Like if your sleeping on it before its done inflating, try getting the room warm, walking on it, take your sheets off it, blankets off it, and pillows off it, make sure its not touching things. All very important. Try to break up the little places where the wool felted to the outer cover so theirs not tension. Walk on it, really try to loosen it up a bit. Its so comfy once it inflates, I just wish it was a little closer to the 12", its been a week or so we are at 11". But it sleeps like a dream, I think were getting the best sleep we ever got at home. Doest have the best edge coils for sitting on the edge, but I'm 200 lb and can sleep o. The edge laying down with out it dipping or ever feel like I'm falling off. Can't feel our toddler climb into it either. Its truly comfortable and the price point is amazing. As a heavier person I'd say its a lil medium feeling, but if I was lighter it would feel more firm. Same for the edge support, it wouldn't probably be fine for a smaller person. Not the worst, by any means either. Only thing I'd improve if Sam's is listing is a zippered mattress so I can adjust some layers too. But another 1-2 inches of wool would go a long way. And some better edge support coils. It would be really nice if I could have gotten the 12" mattress, unless mines is defective idk. Is anyone getting the 12" height on the mattress? It would also have been nice to get instructions! Pick attached is from before it fully inflated. Sorry its long, just thought I'd leave some tips. Cause the price point on this is so worth it for an organic latex hybrid. At least in the king size. Idk were for sure gonna get one for other members of our home too.
It's ok.
This mattress is definitely more comfortable than my previous and the outer fabric is very soft. I appreciate the organic features and there was no off gassing smells. On the downside though: the edges offer NO support whatsoever. Ive even noted that the pressure of the fitted sheet compresses the mattress around the border significantly. While it is soft and comfortable, it seems comfortable in a 'well worn' kind of way. Not a supportive, cushioned kind of way.
Queen Mattress too big for Queen Platform bed
Mattress is fine in quality, but the queen size mattress doesn't fit our queen size platform bed. It is a couple inches too long and a couple inches too wide, and the bed is not adjustable. All other mattresses have fit in the past, not sure why this one is too big?
Too soft, not the medium hybrid I was expecting
Had to return this mattress. Your body sinks into it, which then gets warm and creates low areas where you sink next to your partner. If you like a medium to firmer mattress that you sleep on, not in, then this is not for you. I wish there were more unpaid reviews here to have steered me away from this choice- I believe this model was rated highly on Consumer Reports which led me to try it out without seeing it in store.
We appreciate your feedback, DD, and we hope your return was hassle free.
Returning
I was excited to receive this bed. ESPECIALLY because it's organic. It is way too soft. My husband weighs 180 and 6'3” and I weight 150 and petite. He sinks all the way down into the coils! There's no support. I'm waking up feeling achey and in pain.
Great Materials - Poor Construction - Not Worth
I chose this mattress specifically for the premium feel of the latex and organic wool top. ✅ The Pros Excellent Cooling: It genuinely stays cool throughout the night, which is a major positive. ❌ The Cons Excessive Sinkage: The mattress is simply too soft. I felt like I was sinking in, not supported on it. Zero Edge Support: Unacceptable for a premium mattress. The edges completely collapse when sitting or lying near them. Poor Value: The premium price is not justified by the lack of proper support and edge reinforcement. Final Thought If this would have been a mattress topper with just the latex and wool top, it would be a great option for any mattress looking to add a comfortable, cool layer. The problem is the overall construction.
We're sorry the mattress did not meet your expectations, Tony. Please contact Member Support at (888) 301-0332 and they'll do their best to make this right for you.
Horrible Experience
Ordered this mattress for my son's bed. Loved the idea of an organic mattress that uses organic wool and organic latex and doesn't contain the typical chemical flame retardants. Unfortunately this mattress never reached it's stated measurements. The depth only reached 10" and length 72" (the 72" is the top layer measurement which over hangs the base of the mattress so the base is even shorter by another inch) . Should have expanded to 12" and 75" and for $599 I expected it to. Have had a couple months so plenty of time to expand to the stated dimensions. Started an online return which has been a horrible experience so far. I received an email stating FedEx would be picking up the mattress the next day however, below in the email it stated that if the item could not be repackaged to call the 888 number so that is what I done as there was no way of re-boxing a compressed mattress. After an extended wait time I spoke with a customer service rep that said the FedEx pick-up would be canceled and I would receive a call or email from a company that could pick-up mattresses within 3 to 5 days. I never received a call or email however did have three different FedEx drivers stop for a pick-up which was frustrating for me to have to explain the situation to these frustrated drivers. I then called customer service again to inquire about the situation. I was put on a lengthy hold again to be told that IT would contact me regarding another pick-up. I then asked about getting notification to FedEx to cancel the pick-up order only to be told "Just tell the driver if another one shows up". Fingers crossed I do not get another frustrated driver in the meantime. So needless to say I will never purchase a compressed boxed mattress again. It is definitely not worth the hassle and would be far more convenient to just shop locally for a standard mattress that is the size it's suppose to be.
Disappointing
Maybe I received a different mattress than all the positive incentivized reviews, but I am really disappointed and expected more from Member's Mark. I opened up the mattress and put it on the floor, so it has a super firm base below it. I'm not a large person, but sitting on the edge or even sitting right in the middle of the mattress, my rear end actually sinks all the way to the floor. The coils offer no support and anyone over 125 pounds will sink through when sitting on it. Lying down is slightly better, since the weight is distributed, but it would not be supportive enough to sleep through the night. It feels like a half-inflated air mattress. The fabric on top is very loose. I will be returning it. It might be okay for a child or someone very lightweight who likes a soft, mushy mattress.
don't trust online ordering
ordered a king mattress; delivery keep being delayed [frustrating since I had the frame all set and unable to sleep in my new place]; then, when it was delivered the driver left the package at the bottom of the drive way and in a snowbank; to add to this, the packaging [cardboard] was torn, thus making it almost impossible to bring to the house [very heavy especially since I am older] . NEVER AGAIN!
