This mattress is WONDERFUL. The first three or four weeks it is VERY firm. Trust me, having owned two Tempurpedics, a Snuggle-Pedic, a Nectar Lush, and two off brands, there is nothing better than a FIRM Tempurpedic. When it feels too firm in the store, just know it will soften over time! (The softer ones do too - that's the problem with them!) Back pain is reduced, and both my wife and I can once again snuggle closely on our sides without sinkage! Thank you, Tempurpedic!

I've had the mattress for normal by the month. I did not have back problems with my old mattress it was just getting old and need to be replaced. I expected to be rejuvenated in the morning after sleeping on this mattress. Instead my back is and shoulder is hurting me. I will give it another month and see what happens.

This is our second temper-pedic mattress. The first mattress we purchased several years ago is now used in our guest bedroom. For some unknown reason, we (wife and I) convinced our self to replace the master bed mattress with a competitors product (air mattress). We had purchased extra bed sheets and even though we never open the package the dealer would not give a reimbursement after 90 days. This was 3-years ago. Big mistake! We had enough sleepless nights and decided to revisit a temper-pedic dealer. Don't we swayed so take my advise and stick with what you know and trust. I was looking to invest in a very good quality mattress and after spending many days researching and reading reviews and then several hours in stores laying on and trying out different mattresses, it ultimately came down to this model vs a traditional custom made mattress. Both were close to the same price point and ultimately I chose the Tempur Pro Adapt Hybrid. I love this bed for the fact that I no longer wake up with neck or back pain, and it is VERY comfortable, however the trade off is that I wake up drenched. Even though this was touted has having cooling properties, I did not find this to work for me. So if you are prone to sleeping on the warm/hot side, this is something to keep in mind.

This mattress is grossly overpriced. I have been sleeping on it for almost a year and I wake up with more back pain than my previous mattress that cost a fraction. I don't think it contours to my body at all. It does not provide any cooling effects. I would never recommend this product nor will I buy it again. My couch is more comfortable than this mattress.

We've had this bed a month. When we tried it in the showroom display the "firm" mattress was very soft. The "medium" mattress was way too soft (sink to the bottom kinda soft). So we went with the firm with the idea it would relax/soften over time considering the showroom display had been there for quite a while. After taking delivery of our new split CA king bed, I found the firm was just that FIRM. Too firm for me but just right for my husband. Until this bed softens up a bit, I need to put a softer memory foam topper on it. Otherwise the quality is good and my husband likes all the bells and whistles of the base. It's perfect for him to adjust so he can be comfortable with his bad back.

Normally it takes me forever to go to sleep and toss and turn . But not with this bed ! I'm out in less than 15 minutes! That's a huge difference for me . This bed is like sleeping on a firm marshmallow! It's soft fits to your body .

This mattress for a 275 pound man is perfect. I was falling within my Serta iComfort Series and the Temperpedic Pro Adapt has better support and the Serta was broken in for 5 years the Serta was causing back pain. The Temperpedic seems to be broken in already after 3 weeks but it is the Firm model and seems to give a more even cushioning it has gotten a little softer where I press my weight though. It is very comfortable.

It's expensive and worth every penny. Buy nice or buy twice as they say. Every day I so look forward to curling up in this mattress. With a down comforter it's heaven on earth, sleeping in the clouds. Love it love it love it. And def go for the adj base the zero g is unreal! I've been a light sleeper all my life and this mattress has me deep sleeping all night.
