We made the mistake of going cheap and ordering a "highly rated" bed-in-a-box mattress sight unseen from another company and it was awful. We quickly returned that one and decided to get more serious and went in-store to try out some other mattress options. After many exhaustive options we finally landed on the Stearns and Foster Lux Estate, pillowtop firm. Still, it's hard to judge a mattress just from a quick 5 minute test in a store with sales people hounding you. I am here to say that we've now had our mattress for a full week and it's seriously the most amazing mattress I think I've ever slept on in my life. I will sound like an advertisement, but I also noticed my ongoing neck and shoulder pain has also disappeared. It's a splurge and an investment but so happy we made the upgrade.

It's best for back or stomach sleepers as it is a very firm mattress. My husband is a large man and we've found this has supported both of our weights comfortably while not sagging or dipping. The mattress stays very cool even on these hot summer nights. It is very heavy so there's no moving it without strong help. This is our 1st Stearns and Foster mattress. We are extremely pleased with the quality and comfort of the mattress. We previously had a "hybrid" mattress and wanted something a bit more sturdy and a bit more firm - we found that with the Stearns and Foster Lux Estate Tight-Top Medium. As senior citizens, we wanted something that is firm, but not too firm - this mattress fits the bill! Although a bit pricey, we are hoping the mattress will give us several years of restful sleep.

This is a replacement mattress, and it has the same problem as the previous one. it sinks where we lie. I weigh 175 and my wife 142 so that should not be an issue. We have requested another replacement but the requirements from Ashley furniture exceed our physical abilities ages 84 and 80) such as photographing the label and 360-degree photos of the matress. We had a Sterns and Foster double pillow top for years with no problem This matrass is substandard and not as good as a $500 matress that it replaced. So sorry we did it, we are just stuck with it since we have no clear path to fix the problem.

I purchased my mattress as I was working for mattresss firm I love the sterns and foster collection! I was having bad back and hip pain and upgraded my mattress to the lux estate I love it I sleep well. My husband loved it as well, the perfect level of softness for me not supper soft and not super firm. Only thing I wish it had the option to feel more on the tempur indulge foam and the mattress can be very heavy when I'm changing the sheets. I love the support of the springs. The weight of the mattress is my only con but as far as comfort and quality I'm super happy! I don't see myself changing this mattress any time soon definitely will stick to the sterns and tempur family for my sleep needs. I plan to add a adjustable base in the future, been thinking about it . Great mattress

Was told this was a great mattress and maybe it is for a single person who is 90 lbs. My spouse and I sleep close to each other and we sink. It is very uncomfortable to wake up in the middle of the night and feel like we are in a hole. We have more than one home so by the time we figured out how uncomfortable I was past the time to exchange. After 15 months we can't take it. Currently buying a new mattress and buying a new bed frame so I can move our bed to the guest room. Waste of money for sure.

I have a bad back and it was the perfect with me getting a good night's sleep, the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I feel that is a little smaller than our last queen but not only do I sleep very good on it, my back does not hurt when I wake up.

I lay on the floor because it help my back but since having this matress, I no longer need to. It is very firm, the firmest matress Ive ever used and it doesn't make me sink down . Since having it, my hips and back no longer have pain. I sleep longer and wake up refreshed and without pain. My previous matress was semi-firm but gave out after a few weeks. It started having dips and was extremely soft. After a few weeks of using the Stearns & Foster Lux Estate Ultra Firm Tight Top, it still holds up its firmest. This matress is thick where a box spring would sit you up really high off the floor. I would recommend a bunky board instead of a box spring. If you do enjoy laying on the floor, this is the matress for you! You wont regret it.Definitely recommended this product
