I suffer with low back pain, but even after 1 sleep on this matress, I could move better & think clearer because I slept so good! When I read about this mattress having a cooling technology, I really didn't believe it, until I slept on it. I did not get overheated during the night, which was amazing because we leave out thermostat a little warmed than the downstatirs, so it was a win for me! I have the Lux Estate Soft Pillowtop. Its a VERY hot mattress to sleep on. I have never been a hot sleeper but on this mattress, I have turned into one thanks to the Tempur Indulge foam. (This is NOT my first rodeo with memory foam). I have tried 100% Bamboo sheets, low thread count sheets, no mattress protector, and keeping my thermostat at 67 degrees while I sleep. Nothing has helped me sleep cool on this mattress. I even called Stearns' customer service and the Rep said that the cooling cover on the Lux Estate just doesn't work well for everyone. I stopped by a local mattress store yesterday and spoke with the salesman about the heat issues on this mattress. He wasnt shocked and actually told me he expects to hear more complaints about this bed holding heat. He agreed that the vents on the side of the mattress are more cosmetic than anything. It doesnt aid in cooling the mattress whatsoever. I am currently in the process of trying to buy a new (non Stearns and Foster) bed. Aside from the heat, the mattress is comfy for the 3 weeks I have had it. Its a medium soft feel and I am a strict side sleeper.

We got the queen-size Stearns & Foster Lux Estate Soft Pillowtop mattress and we couldn't be happier. We were previously sleeping on a queen size sleeper sofa mattress, and if anyone knows anything about those mattresses, they are very thin and you can feel the bars from the sofa bed frame all night. My partner of 20 years is disabled, and he lays down most of the day, therefore, we just keep the sofa sleeper bed out all day every day and never fold it back into the sofa. When I was offered this free sample, I was more than delighted! We are BOTH sufferers of degenerative arthritis, and he has had multiple work injuries which eventually disabled him. Our previous mattress only made matters worse for both of us. He has insomnia and was up and down all night long with aches and pains. Now I am pleased to say that we are finally getting a good night's sleep! I haven't seen him sleep this good for so long! As for me, I am sleeping way better also, and for longer amounts of time than I previously was. I seriously do not want to get out of this bed! Our aches and pains are getting better by the day, not totally gone of course, but more tolerable. The cooling feature of this mattress is the BOMB as I am going through hot flashes! And we cannot even feel each other get out of bed anymore because of the motion sense feature, so less wakening. I cannot thank both companies enough, and I would HIGHLY recommend a Stearns and Foster mattress for a great night's sleep! We will never go with any other brand from here on out!

Just simply falling asleep and waking up in the morning... well rested!!! I cannot recommend this mattress enough! After many sleepless nights and lots of stiff mornings, I knew it was time for a change. This is the best thing I could have ever done! This mattress is beyond amazing and comfortable and the best thing I've ever laid on!

Purchased another Stearns mattress and within 6 months it sank 2", I had to file a claim and this is the second one I purchased. The other was discontinued so I was at first worried about a firm pillow top that my store had but one nights sleep was good. I have severe back pain and needing a hip replacement in 2 months. So far feels great. Wasn't too firm. Comfortable to sleep in. Hoping this one will last! Can't say yet if it helps with pain because I'm in a lot of pain but I know the last one was great at first.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We started sleeping on our new Stearns and Foster mattress right away. We were on the market for a softer mattress so this one really fit the bill. The soft pillowtop is like sleeping on a cloud! I feel totally supported as I sleep. I also don't sink into the mattress. This is important, because you don't want to have trouble getting out of bed! The mattress is also cool - I never feel hot during the night time. I have always bought higher end mattresses, so I am not comparing this mattress to a cheaper mattress under $1000. If you want to invest in pure comfort, this is a fantastic option! I would recommend to anyone who needed a softer bed.

As advertised. Very comfortable. First new mattress in 30 years, and what a difference. Quality in workmanship is self evident and the comfort it provides is amazing. The registration process was clear and easy to manage. All around a great experience with this bed. Sales personnel were easy to work with, and no pressure what so ever. Very knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions prior to purchase.

I carefully researched S&F and tried many different models. In the store I really loved the Lux Estate medium. The mattress I recieved had a sink hole in the middle. I quickly notified the store and they took prompt action to replace the faulty mattress. The new one I recieved also sinks much more than the store model that I fell in love with. It is better than the first one I recieved. However, I'm not up to another round of musical mattress, particularly since the second mattress is "signed" by the same person who signed the first sink hole mattress. I guess I am the chosen one that this person learns on. I'm very sure that I will be needing to replace this bed in a few short years, but when I do you can bet everything you own that it will NOT be a Sterns and Foster! Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
