Good price on cinnamon

We use this spice daily. I was surprised at the comments that some have made here about it being toxic. Salt can be toxic too. If you are concerned about health ramifications, do some research. Using Saigon cinnamon as a spice/flavoring is perfectly healthy, just like moderate doses of salt! Good thing it is not toxic, or there would be no Vietnamese peoples anywhere in the world!

Excellent; however a shaker top would be nice. Currently it does not have one.

Saigon cinnamon is not the pure cinnamon. Ceylon is the pure cinnamon.

As cinnamon its OK But Saigon Cinnamon is better

Been using this Organic cinnamon for years and it adds a delicious flavor to apple pie along with organic honey and apples . Like that it comes in glass jar, good value and stays fresh for a year +. Thank you.

I add cinnamon to almost everything. The flavor is powerful and oh so good. I gave it a 4 star due to no plastic shield to sprinkle cinnamon. Have to be careful when pouring it.

I have been buying Vietnamese cinnamon from Penzey's for years but decided that it was pretty pricey for baking. I will admit that Penzey's cinnamon is superior, but it costs more than twice as much. I use a lot of cinnamon for baking and I don't think the difference is discernible in baked goods. If you are sprinkling this on top of something where you taste it directly, you may prefer a premium brand. Otherwise, I think this is very good cinnamon and lives up to its description. Saigon, or Vietnamese, cinnamon is the cassia type, not Ceylon "true cinnamon", but this does not mean it is a lesser cinnamon. It just has some different qualities. I like the "red hots" flavor, but it is probably not what you want if you are looking for "canela" cinnamon. Most commercial ground cinnamon, unless otherwise marked, is cassia cinnamon. For what it is, I think Member's Mark Organic Cinnamon is excellent and it is hard to beat the price.
