It is a little noisier than expected. But for 7500 watts and the portability, it is no issue at all. I've had other brands of generators in the past, and the quality of Generac has exceeded my expectations. As a homeowner and Master Electrician I give it an A+

I did a lot of research on Generac generators after some co-workers recommended this product. The ease of purchase after finally choosing has been wonderful. I wanted to purchase a Stand-By but found the cost of installation was exorbitant. I chose a portable generator with a Generac Transfer Switch which turns out to be just what I needed. After losing electricity for two months after Hurricane Rita, panic sets in even when the power goes out for a short time. I would advise the purchase of generators during a time when no hurricane is already churning and causing a terrible sense of urgency.

I bought it at Sam's Club (06 JUN 22) and assembled it per the instructions. I fired it up once and it ran for a few minutes. When I shut it down and attempted to restart it, it wouldn't fire. It just makes backfiring noises. It still doesn't start or run. Needless to say, I am not pleased! Your phone rep was supposed to forward me a list of authorized repair shops, but I have yet to receive it. I want my generator to run in event of a power loss. Please help me to reconcile this situation.

Purchased the GP7500E (special sale price) at Canadian Tire. Assembled and started right up on first try. Appears to be a good quality unit, great value for the price. Just wish it came with a float charger instead of the supplied batter charger so it could be left plugged in at all times.

After close to a week with no power I decided it was a good time to look for a generator powerful enough to get everything we absolutely need. The 7500E only took about 10 minutes to setup but keep in mind you should have 2 people to easily unpack and setup otherwise it will be a little more difficult but not impossible. Parts seem strong enough and the unit started right up and runs pretty smooth. Can't say I wouldn't like to see a more quiet units but it's not terribly loud either. Overall, very happy.

We use to experience power outages in our area as much as 9 times a year. That was when it was our cottage and before the utility company did a great job of clearing trees from around the lines. Now we sold our house and live here full time. About 1 or 2 outages a year. We just bought $200.00 of food for the frig and freezer and had an outage. Bought my new Gererac generator the next morning and saved everything. During the outage I installed the transfer switch and could not be happier being able to use everything important for comfortable living during an outage (even the Hot Tub). Very easy to use, very easy to set-up.

I brought this generator prior to relocating to Puerto Rico this year. When Hurricane Irma then Maria hit the island in September, I ran it 24X7 to power my home. I could not be happier. Had refrigerator and lights everyday until the power was restored November 25th. That was 2 plus months. Never a hiccup and on we washed our clothes in the washer. I invested in a transfer panel during the outage and that made the use even easier/ The electric start is a charm and changing the oil is easy. 10 days after the power was restored the lights went out again. Went to my generator, pushed the start button and it went back on line. Went I turned it off after 2 months I kissed it because it helped my wife and I get thru a difficult time. Buy this unit. I am a very careful shopper and only invest in quality products. If I seem enthusiastic, it is because it performed beyond my expectations. THANKS GENERAC!!!

Like so many others, going 7 1/2 days without power during the freak October Nor'easter SUCKED! I bought the GP7500E for back up power. Great unit! Easy assemble out of the box....was up and running in 15-20 minutes. We will never be without power. What a relief knowing we won't have to go throught that again! I recently had a friend who's an electrican install a 10 circuit transfer switch. This unit has plenty of juice to power everything we hooked up and then some. Hopefully we won't have to use it too often but, if it goes dark again.....we're ready! Thanks Generac

Purchased on the day hurricane Sandy arrived. I ran it for 12 straight days without a problem. I only turned it off to change the oil 3 times. Very well made and dependable. A bit noisy but most gas generators are. Only knock is that the gas gauge stopped working after 2 days.

This product is what we were looking for our home and farm use. It is well built, easy for me to start and move around. The longer run time is a plus since we live in the country. We recommend this model. We heat with wood in the winter and the boiler needs electric to run the pump, this generator guarantees that our pump runs and the water lines don't freeze because the water doesn't circulate.
