Bought this generator for use as a power backup when power is lost for myself , other family members or friends . Received unit in a VERY timely matter , after installing wheel kit ( a must have ) , adding oil and gas the generator started right up , runs quite and smooth . Love the electric start and the twist Lock power cord that came with this unit , as of yet have not had to use it but pretty sure it will perform as needed , I would recommend this Generac GP6500E generator to anyone and it's a good value .

We purchased our 1st machine back in 2011. Still runs great, but needed a second one. So we got another Generac. Assembly was quick and easy. Directions were very detailed. Our old one takes a beating and never fails us. I would recommend this product to anyone who asks about generators.

I bought this in the fall of 2012 after Katrina ripped through the Northeast. Our area was ten days without power being restored. We suffered through three days without power before getting this. Our home water supply comes from a well. No power, no water. Or heat, or showers, or communications. This unit has enough power to run the well, satellite, refrigerators, freezers, lights, coffee pot, microwave, televisions, and the list goes on. I just pulled it outside and started it up again for the second time this year. It powered up on the second pull and was running strong. I never worry about losing power now. Get the biggest one you can afford, but the 6500 will get you through any power outage with minimal disruption to your life. No regrets on this purchase. Quality machine.

It came packaged nicely in a box but it is very heavy. I love all of the features! It’s portable, comes with the plug in battery charger, foldable handle and push button start. I’m so happy I can finally feel at ease this winter season as we lose power frequently! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a generator!

Gererac was my first choice, spent a lot of dark days before I purchased the GP6500E. Plenty of features, easy setup. I chose this model especially for the Electric Start feature, and the efficient fuel consumption rate. I also matched this generator with the Generac Transfer Switch kit.

WE BOUGHT THIS GENERATOR AND THE LAST THING WE DID WAS PUT FUEL IN IT AND IT LEAKED ALL OVER THE PLACE. WE TRIED TAKING IT BACK TO THE STORE BUT THEY WOULDN'T ACCEPT IT BECAUSE IT ALREADY HAD FUEL AND OIL IN IT AND SAID WE HAD TO TAKE IT TO A SERVICE STORE. WE HADN'T HAD IT FOR ONE HOUR AND HAVE TO DO THAT OURSELVES. NOT SURE WHAT WE ARE GOING TO DO AT THIS POINT.

I looked extensively at generators prior to making my purchase and this one had more features and value for the price. Was very easy to set up and start up can be done by anyone. Would recommend this product to anyone looking for a portable generator.

This is the third Generac I have owned and it is the very best. The electric start is wonderful and all the features can't be beat.Glad to see solid tires no more flat tires. Very reliable and the heavy duty chord that comes with it it is very handy.

No more worries with bad weather with my Generac gp 6500. When a storm is coming, I just install my generator, fill it up with gas and wait for mother nature to do her worst. My wife and I cuddle up in the sofa next to the fire place and look out to see the lightning show listening to classical music. it's better than fireworks on the holidays. Meanwhile we still have our well pump hooked up, the micro-wave and coffee maker if need be, and, can't forget the computers, tv, phones and lighting available. It's simply wonderful.

I'm a dealer/ electrician in Massachusetts and honestly have had no problems with any of the (10) 6500w/e that i have received in the last few months. They are easy to assemble, start easily and with the large capacity tanks, they run all day long. I also like the free battery charger and built in jack. Great product!
